26th-29th Mist-ery Event! A few of the crew are a bit shimmery and they might not recognize you and trying to touch them will result in loss of a memory.

Fresh Meat to the crew! 19th: mid-morning

[To say that Aya is relieved to not be affected by whatever has taken over some of the crew is an understatement. He can't...quite make sense out of what was happening, however. He's on deck, doing what he can to help the ship run smoothly, when he catches a bit of the conversations going around.]

What's with this crew? [They're starting to give the Spades a run for their money in terms of weirdness. He thought they were other-worlders like himself. They sounded like they were born on the seas!]

[Lenalee couldn't help in join you in the whole not making sense of it all deal.]

I have no idea, but I just assumed it was a weird curse or something. [She gives a smile as she looks at him.] They don't usually talk like this. I should welcome you never the less. I'm Lenalee, the ships cook. if you would like a certain meal you just let me know.

There's been word that Scurvy Dog is celebrating our arrival here. Guess this is what she had in mind. [It's not so bad...so far.]

I'm Aya. Nice to meet you. I'm not too picky about food. [Just as long as it isn't boiled to the point it has no flavor.] If you need any herbs, I can look for some on an island we land on.

I see. I'm honestly not sure why this is a good way to celebrate. [It's just....strange.]

Okay, though do you have a favourite dish? [It was good to know however that he wasn't picky. But at the thought of herbs was interesting, she was sure she might be running low.]

I know we are getting low, so we'll see, but thank you for offering to help with that.

[Aya shrugs lightly.] Not really. Anything not boiled to mush should be alright.

Just let me know what to look out for. I've been mostly keeping track of flowers on the islands. Herbs shouldn't be too hard to track down.

[That seemed easy enough, she never really boiled things to mush anyway, always preferred it look at least somewhat decent.]

[She had to think about what herbs were needed, but wouldn't have a clue what they would look like in the wild.]

I can always check the kitchen when I have time and let you know when I'm certain. [She pauses once more before speaking again.]

Ah, are you liking the ship and crew so far?

[Aya nods at her question.] It's a lot smaller, and quieter, than my last crew.

Which crew was that? I mean there are a lot of crews bigger than the one we're currently on after all.

The Spades. They're pretty rowdy when they want to be. [Which was often. He's sure they mean well.]

Ah, I can't say I know much about them, but I do know they are the most noticeable.

[Considering the size she guessed anyway.]

It's not hard to notice them. I'm a bit surprised they aren't known to most of us.

Well people know of them as a group, but individually we can't say we know much. Or at least this was always the case for me.

[Aya ponders that logic for a moment before nodding.]

Good point. They move around a bit too much for that.

[She gives a small nod.]

They must have been very busy then? But is it okay to ask why you changed ships?

I've been on the crew for a while, but I'm still a stranger to most of them.

[Even if he, himself, is pretty distant, he at least gets to know who he works with in a relatively short amount of time.]

I guess considering the crew size I wouldn't be surprised if some felt like they were outsiders looking in.

[It's why she is somewhat glad for the size of the crew she is currently apart of. Small and everyone knows everyone. She wouldn't have it any other way.]

[To Aya, she hit the nail right on the head. He had a hard time lately trying to figure out the right feeling, so he smiles a bit at her statement.]

That's a good way to put it. I was never used to large groups like that.

[She looked at him slightly. She didn't really thing it was the actual answer, but it was good to know she was at least right in a sense.]

So that is why your here? Did the crew you left behind mind?

They went to an island that...isn't really for me.

[They even made it their home base.]
