Dog's revenge and stargazing
Who: Crew of the Mistress
Where:sailing due east
When:19th-29th
What: Talk like a pirate shenanigans and comet watching
Warnings: cursing like sailors imminent
Style:any
Status:closed to crew
19th: Talk like a pirate day! *Now with mandatory costumes and maybe missing body parts!*
21th-22th: Weather permitting the Maiden's Hair comet should be visible in the sky! *Likely chance of White Comet Empire invaders low.
26th-29th Mist-ery Event! A few of the crew are a bit shimmery and they might not recognize you and trying to touch them will result in loss of a memory.

"...don't recognize any of these."
She's disappointed. The constellations are one of the only things she has left from her parents.

"Nor I. Makes naviga'ing a mite harder."
Understatement of the day.
itt two cynical people vehemently deny that they like looking at the night sky
"Guess we'll have to make some new ones. That one kinda looks like..." She points. "A fat man spilling tea on hisself."

"The moon always throws me off, looks way to much like earth's if you ask me."
no subject
"What other moon would it be?"
no subject
Plenty of other planets have moons. Earth's moon is large compared to the size of the planet it's orbiting. Just about every planet in Earth's system has at least one. A few like Titian have colonies in my time. Friend's mother keeps swearing she'll move there.

Aya was coming from behind, having stepped out onto the deck for some fresh air. He looked up as well, so see what she was gazing at. "Nothing about this world is really familiar."
no subject
"'Course I'm not surprised. Only an idiot would expect the sky to be the exact same on another world."
In other words, yes.

"Are you talking about the stars?" She looked up staring at them. "There's none I recognize either, they are all new. At least that is what I think. Are you disappointed about that?"

19th (morning)
He sighs.
He was really hoping he'd be the one to buck this family trend and confused because he would remember losing an eye.
A loose shirt sleeve catches on a corner and he remembers it been hot last night hand he'd only wore boxers to bed. Not a lose white shirt with frills and britches. He looks around and try as he might he can't find his normal clothing or his belts for that matter. He grabs black coat with a red collar that's been draped over his desk and startles Mikun.
The door to the cabin slams open and Harlock yells]
Alright who's the Küstenschiffer that's gone and pilfered me Dragoon and Saber?
[Somehow this is Dog's fault.]Beim Klabautermann! It be happening again.

Captain... [She paused for a moment, she actually didn't understand a word he just said and it was obvious by her puzzled look.]
What... are you talking about?
no subject
My clothing's gone Jones knows where and me weapons to.
[He could swear he hears laughing but it's female.]

"Captain, you sound like a drunk Panzerstadter with a speech problem and you look like a crappy mummer!"
Then she notices the eyepatch and narrows her own single eye. Is he making fun of her?
Re: 19th (morning)
What in the blue blazes be a mummer? [He's doesn't even realize the curse is leaving German pirate words untranslated at random.] I am most currently not liquefied up, many people from armored cites sound like fictional pirates poppet?
19th - morning
Arrgh, what the Devil in the Seven Seas is this Shite?
. . . Aw, Hell.
[at least whatever power was responsible left his right wrist blade alone. his arm twitches, activating the blade--]
[which collides with the tip of the hook. useless]
Bloody Hell.
no subject
Is something the matter?
no subject
Aye, there is. I be talkin' like to a common Bilge Rat fresh off the Docks, an' I've a new Addition to me Costume, besides.
[he holds up his right arm, the hook where his hand used to be looking very shiny and new]

Fresh Meat to the crew! 19th: mid-morning
What's with this crew? [They're starting to give the Spades a run for their money in terms of weirdness. He thought they were other-worlders like himself. They sounded like they were born on the seas!]
no subject
I have no idea, but I just assumed it was a weird curse or something. [She gives a smile as she looks at him.] They don't usually talk like this. I should welcome you never the less. I'm Lenalee, the ships cook. if you would like a certain meal you just let me know.
no subject
I'm Aya. Nice to meet you. I'm not too picky about food. [Just as long as it isn't boiled to the point it has no flavor.] If you need any herbs, I can look for some on an island we land on.
