Wednesday Night

[She's tired looking, but smiling. Clearly much better then the day before. Running into Thatch she grinned, and before he could say ANYTHING about her wandering while sick, she held her hands up]
Doctors orders. I swear. [she mocked a old man voice as she said:] 'Go out. Be young. Smell the flowers. It'll do you good my extraordinary child. Find someone and enjoy.' [dropping her hands to her hips she smiled softly] I swear, it's what he said. Hello.

I don't believe you somehow, Frogling. [but he just so happens to have brought a few bottles of fine wine for later and there are convenient benches around] Sit and share some with me?

[Running into Thatch first isn't a bad thing, just surprising. She just gave him a softened smile at his offer to share with him. Walking up to him she leaned in to look at the wine bottles, chuckling.] Is it any good here? I'm hearing there's a lot of good things on this island, but haven't heard anything about the drink.
[LOVES this island right now, she does. Mostly because what ever the hell that doctor did helped...]

Don't know. We'll see won't we.
[he holds the bottle out to her]
First sip, ma petite Haruta? [and just how high are you?]
no subject
[Taking it she took a long sip off it, mulled it around, smiled softly and held it back.] Not a bad choice, Thatchy.
[She leaned in and nuzzled into him a bit more, like he was comfy. Sadly it's hard to tell how high she was because so far, she's just acting like Haruta. That and what ever the doctor gave her yesterday makes the flowers not work as well as they might. Still... she was effected]

at this rate they'll look like Labyrinth extrasHe smiled and took a sip of the velvet mellow wine. Perfect as he thought it would be, and slips a hand up Haruta's back to massage the back of her neck under her hair]Handsome Prince... I may have a hard time maintaining my composure. What ever is a girl to do?

So he was on the prowl. Objective one: find music, which wasn't hard to do. His ears were a lot more sensitive than most people realized, and he was fine with that. Which left him objective two: someone to dance with. The locals were warming up a little bit, but still gave him a wide berth- especially as the day wound down closer to evening. He wondered if the damn flowers would come out again, hoped maybe they were a once a week kind of thing or something. In any case, he found a familiar scent mingled in with the lot, and began following it to the source.

Wednesday Night - Asami
To be honest, he can't fully complain, the previous night hadn't been exactly bad, just mostly awkward and totally new for him. Confusing as well. Still, he would have preferred if that kind of thing happened without external prompts. Especially not ones that cloud one's judgement.
This night, though, he is prepared. Mask in place and staying indoors should do the trick, right? Pity that his mask had been sabotaged to not work, though he has yet to notice that himself. Hopefully, the rest of the crew had gotten the memo and acquired gas masks. Anyway, Ikki ends trailing Asami's familiar Cosmos to ensure that she is safe and with a mask.]

Unfortunately, she was unaware that she bought a defective mask and that apparently Ikki had too. So when Asami spots him in the distance, she's confident enough to walk up to him with a small wave. She's frowning slightly behind the mask but she makes a decent attempt to try and smile, even if it can't be seen. She also sounds somewhat cautious]
Ikki? ...I'm guesing you were affected the day before too, weren't you?
no subject
I was, I think most of us were in fact, at least everyone who left the ship until night time.
[He groans softly as he looks around at the natives, some wear masks but many others don't.]
I kind of want to burn this island, you know. They could have warned us. Now I get why there are so many kids and why they are herded back to their homes so early. I thought the people here were obsessed with curfews.
no subject
If I didn't know better...I'd say they were purposefully holding information from us. It already took me long enough to get this mask.
[It's probably all done just to troll newcomers too, she thinks]
I wouldn't be opposed to you doing that. [A pause from her] Burning the flowers, I mean.
no subject
I don't know what goes through their minds, maybe they are so used to those flowers that they fail to see why others would have problems with them. Still, I'm not a guy nice enough to forgive that kind of ignorance.
[It makes him think of the Specters, of how they had been fooled by Hades, thinking that they would be granted a new life in the new and better world that he would create. Even when Pandora told him that, he had felt no sympathy for them, it was their own fault for being fooled by such an unrealistic idea. Had it been another god, he could have understood, but Hades was the God of Death, how could anyone think that he would create anything that wasn't a world of death?
He shakes his head, both at the memories and at the natives here.]
Glad to have your support there, but I won't do it, as tempting as it is. Last time I checked flowers release even more pollen when there's a fire, with our luck, if I burned it they would release enough pollen to fill the whole world.
[And then there would be nowhere to run to. At least not without masks.]
I still want to destroy them though, I don't want to think what could happen if someone crazy enough got their hands on them.
no subject
[She states that last part so matter of the factly. They're selling masks specifically for the pollen too, even if she's wrong, Asami's convinced herself thus far that they just like messing with newbies.
Though Ikki is right about burning them. She doesn't want to risk polluting the air with anymore pollen than there already is. With a hand on her hip, she sighs and her gaze goes into the direction of the flowers]
That's actually a really troubling thought. I wish I could just make them vanish into thin air or something, that'll be the easier solution.
[But alas she's just a normal human]

Before the sun starts to set, she heads into the forest. Once she feels she is far enough away from town she sits down, leaning back against a tree, and bracing herself for the effects of pollen to come.

The mermaid is just about to call it quits before she finally spots someone.]
Thatch?
What are you doing?

I'm just heading back, gorgeous. What are you up to? You know about these things, aye? [and he shifts a bag in his arm to point at the flowers]

I remember that surface dwellers can give them to someone they like. Kind of like a gift!
[Which would mean that...]
So, who are they for?
