After visiting so many civilized, fairly normal islands, it's time for the brave crew of the Katabami to go bother more giant animals on Monsuta.

[Ragna prefers to stay on guard, occasionally tossing the natives suspicious looks and clearly refusing to just sit down and relax. He barely listens to Kodachi's story, not interested in her trade adventures, but turns his focus to her when she asks him a question.]

Like hell I was! ... They started it.

[She waited for his reaction, and if he did smash it to bits or julienne it, then she'd be proven right.]

[And right on the cue, his grip on the potato tightens and the poor thing is crushed in his hand. He's so predictable it's a joke.]

[Kodachi deflected some of the splattering juice with a club that came out of nowhere. It was gone just as fast.]

[She tilted her head to one side, studying him.]

What would you have done to the natives had I not interceded?

[He shakes the remnants of the poor potato off his hand, mumbling something akin to "Am not" under his breath. The man eyes her for a moment before replying in a casual tone.]

Killed 'em, probably.

[... Perhaps a bit too casual.]

[Kodachi knew to expect that answer.]

It's a good thing I was around, then. What would you do without me?

[It was a serious topic, but she was tired of too much seriousness. Mourning Anji's (and Ranma's) disappearance was bad enough. And then Mitsunari will go bananas. She's not having a good day.]
