... For you, maybe.
[The Grim Reaper frowns, pulling his hands away from Yo-chan's head as he clenches his fists. It is tiring, always fighting everyone and everything, but he hardly ever stops long enough to take that into consideration. He's already made his choice, and being a stubborn dummy he is, he's not likely to change his mind easily.]
If you ask me, it's the opposite. Especially in a place like this.

[Motochika shoves him lightly.]
Which you do.
[He sighs as he watches Yo-chan waddle off to look for bugs now that apparently affection time is over.]
You're quite the headache, but it isn't as if I dislike you.

That next part, however, catches him completely off guard and his only response is to stare at Motochika, dumbfounded. The Grim Reaper looks about as baffled as if what he heard was a love confession, not a much simpler sentiment, but after a short moment his expression changes to his usual frown.]
Tch. The hell's wrong with you? Saying crap like that all of a sudden...

["Now and then" is kind of an understatement. He's certainly started fights with Ragna because the man is very skilled at irritating him, but once the fights escalate to actual physical violence, he usually participates because it's fun. It makes sense in his head, but his way of thinking is alien to, well, most people.]

[Claiming he doesn't enjoy teasing Motochika to some degree would be a lie, but it's his hair-trigger temper that's to be blamed for the actual fights. In the end, they usually only leave him angry─ well, angrier than he was before. Still, being friends with Tao, Ragna does see some sort of reasoning behind that; hell, some of their battles were even fun, kinda. Especially when drunk.]
... Which doesn't mean I hate you or something.
[For some unexplainable reason, he felt like he should clarify that. Just in case that crazy logic of his leads the captain to the wrong conclusion.]
no subject
["Not hating" was at least a step up. Sometimes you had to take what you could get.]
Merely a start, though. Makes for a better fight when there's no malice in it.
[He nods to himself, quite pleased with that observation.
And then there's a loud crash.]
I think Yo-chan just knocked down a tree.
[Not so sure what to think about that observation.]

Yeah? [Thinking back to his friendly spars with Tao (or "playing" how she calls it) every now and then, the Grim Reaper can't help but smile. Those were actually kind of fun, now that he thinks about it, so perhaps there is some truth to it...] Heh. Maybe it's not such a bad i─
[Sadly, his smile is wiped off his face by a loud crashing sound coming from nearby. If Motochika's explanation that followed it was supposed to calm him down, it failed miserably.]
... He can do that?!
[He figured that... club-tail thingy was not to be messed with but somehow never realized what it's capable of.]
no subject
[He's going to have to do some reinforcing of posts in the armadillo pen.]
They use their tails to knock on tree trunks to rattle out bugs, but...er...well, maybe it was a particularly flimsy tree...
[Hopefully it was a particularly flimsy tree...]
We should probably collect him and get him back to the ship.
no subject
Yeah, that's a great plan! Why don't we just put him next to the mast and see what happens while we're at it?!
[He'd like to believe the captain has thought of some sort of preventive measures in case that happened, but unfortunately he's not that delusional.]
no subject
[He's always dropped a few mealworms on top of the posts for him to knock down since he seems to enjoy it, but maybe that's a behavior he shouldn't have been reinforcing...]
Contrary to what you might believe, I do plan for things now and then.

[Ragna makes a face, unwittingly remembering how Xun Yu insisted on him telling Motochika about his Azure Grimoire exactly so they could plan ahead in case of emergencies─ and quickly dismisses the thought, deciding it's nonsense. He shakes his head, turning into the direction where the noise came from.]
... Whatever. Let's go get your pet before he breaks something else.
