[As soon as the sun did not rise on the 1st, like others had suggested it would, Gan Ning wanted off Isla Empieza. He put out the call to his crew - get on the ship, leave no man behind. Or woman, Cynthia.

The storm hit while they were two days out from the island. It would take all hands on deck to keep the Nightfury from capsizing, good thing they have a couple of solid dragons to keep things in check. Just watch out for Gaius and his fiery pendant! By the time the storm blows out in the wee hours on the 4th, the charts put them drifting near to Eternal Bliss. Are the residents still pissed at pirates for what Kodachi did? Who cares, they need to land to make repairs. And maybe score some treasure, if anyone wants to go through the marriage requirement.

[Oh he'll get attacked alright, by dangerous...ferocious...cute as fuck poots! Sure the pokemon were also out and about. But they were having a training session with their trainer. So only the poots were free to actually bother the boy.

Pat and Tootle. Floating around the boy, looking him over and...farting pleasantly smelling bubble.

On the other side of the ship though, Garchomp just unleashed a well aimed fire blast that Lucario dodged. You might wanna duck, boy.]

[Well, the whale things are...interesting. Is this ship some kind of bloody zoo or something? He's still staring at them when the blast is fired his way, but as soon as he sees it out of the corner of his eye, it's nothing a quick Shield Charm won't defend against. Good thing he had his wand out!]

Protego!

[The fire blast fizzles out against the seemingly invisible wall he tosses up, though Draco still flinches back a bit. Then he scowls.]

Oh, for Merlin's sake -- watch it!

[The champion whistles for her Braviary, who flies her over and drops her right in front of their new guest. Talk about a flashy entrance. But she can do those now that she had a giant eagle pokemon that'd willingly fly her to any spot on the boat.]

It didn't hurt you, did it?

I'm fine.

[Though he sounds a bit terse now. He cancels his shield with a wave of his wand.]

I have quick reflexes. [Eyes Cynthia and her giant eagle.] And you are?

[Right. Manners. She forgot those existed. Cynthia sticks her hand out for him to shake.]

I'm Cynthia, hazmat's quartermaster, and those creatures over there are my pokemon. You're free to pet them if you want. Just be careful around the dragon and steer clear of Eelektross and Braviary. They aren't as adjusted with pirate life yet.

And you?

[Completely overlooking that he was pretty much an intruder on her boat. Obviously she missed the memo that a guest was coming. But then, he seemed pretty harmless...to her anyway.]

[He doesn't know what half those words mean, but he nods anyway and reaches out to firmly take her hand, dipping forward in the slightest of bows.]

Draco Malfoy, I sail with the Howling Sabers. I came to see the dragons, but I wasn't aware you had so many other animals as well. Are they all from other worlds?

Well two of the three dragons on this boat come from one world. The third dragon, the two sea serpents, the giant eagle, the blue dog and the ghost rock...

[Yes. Ghost rock.]

...come from my world, and the two poots came from Tartle. We also used to have four mutant turtle brothers and a mutant lizard lady. But they all went home. Then there's the mermaid, Brady's collection of chickens, Mikey has his own chicken named Lady Cluckington, she's still here somewhere, and our captain has his mini cock.

So yeah, we have A LOT of other animals besides dragons.

[Arches an eyebrow.]

Maybe it's different for your mermaid, but in my world they're really not too pleased when they're referred to as animals. Even though technically they're classified as Beasts, they're intelligent enough that they should be Beings. [Sigh.] They're stubborn, though.

[Glances around the deck again.]

It's a wonder your ship isn't covered in animal waste. Why so many chickens? Do you keep them on as food stores?

Oh those chickens, funny story. We started out with one. One of the turtle boys, Mikey, got her from that magical egg hunt a while back. Then our captain, that stupid man, decided to suck up to Dog and she sent over a whole armada of chickens and one tiny cock. All those chickens are gone. But Ning kept the cock as a pet. THEN we recruited Brady. Who brought along his collection of chickens from that egg hunting thing.

The chickens that belonged to Mikey and Brady, we keep as pets. The rest, we eat.

As for the animal waste thing. All our creatures are trained.

[He's not even going to question the 'turtle boy' thing, or ask who those people are since it sounds like they're not around anymore.]

I think perhaps my crew missed this...egg hunting thing. It doesn't sound familiar.

[He looks curiously over her eagle again.]

You mentioned something about...pokemon? Was it? Is that one of them?

[Braviary lowers his head to level with the boy. He wanted to know about that magic stick and if he could play with it. Yes. He wanted to play with the wand because it made shiny things. He liked shiny things.

Cynthia just scratches his neck.]

Yup! This is Braviary, an avian pokemon. Basically pokemon are creatures from my world. They come in different shapes, sizes, types. Think animals with powers and, instead of simply growing up, they evolve.

That's very... [Something.] Special.

[He leans back from the eagle a little, eyeing it warily now. It looks like the front half of a hippogriff.]

They're not too finicky or anything, are they? Will he get all upset if I look at him wrong?

[Does he have to bow to this thing...]

Nah, he's a good boy. Just a little cranky about being dragged into a new world. But I guess, for your safety, don't try to surprise or annoy him. He's still getting used to everything.

[Unless you want to stroke that bird's ego. For the love of Arceus, don't bow.]

You're free to pester my other pokemon though. They get pretty intense during training. But they're always happy to meet new people.

[Gives a light snort.]

Some of the beasts in my world have to be approached in very specific ways. We have a whole class on it at school. ...It's a terrible class.

A class about beast studies huh? Definitely sounds like something I'd attend.

[Or teach. Oh yeah, she'd totally teach a class about pokemon if someone asked her to. All those years of experience in the toughest environments. Meeting every pokemon in her dex AND legendaries? She'd make a great teacher.]

So you came here to meet the dragons? I'm not really sure what Toothless and Stormfly are up to. But I could introduce you to mine.

[and with a whistle, Garchomp comes flying to her side, in all her strange landsharky glory.]

The professor, if he can even truly be called such a thing, is a great buffoon. It might've had the potential to be interesting if not for that.

[He blinks at her then, eyebrows going up.]

I wasn't aware there was a third one, I was only informed of the two.

[When Garchomp comes flying up, Draco hops back a step or two, looking startled.]

...But apparently I was given false information.

[Now it's the dragon's turn to lower itself down to eye level. She wasn't particularly fond of strangers who got too close to her trainer, but since this one was still a child, she doesn't see him as much of a threat.

But that doesn't stop her from glaring. She saw what you could do with that magic stick and she doesn't trust you one bit.]

Easy mistake. The two dragons Hiccup mentioned were part of his world. So I suppose it's easy to forget mine since she comes from another world.

That and because this one never leaves my side, and since I'm always bellow deck, people don't normally see her as much as the other two.

[Takes another step back, eyeing the beast warily even as he speaks to Cynthia.]

It was your captain who mentioned there being two dragons on this ship, actually. But no matter. Yours is another that isn't the size I would expect of a dragon. Curious.

Kitty? Huh...

[Somehow, she's not all that surprised.]

Well he's drunk about 90% of the time.
