Into the storm
Who: Hazardous Materials with special guest star Draco Malfoy
Where: the ship, and then Eternal Bliss (oh joy)
When: November 1-5 at sea, 6-? on land
What: sailing log, and then shenanigans on wedding island
Warnings: let me know if there are any
Style: as you please
Status: closed to "who"
[As soon as the sun did not rise on the 1st, like others had suggested it would, Gan Ning wanted off Isla Empieza. He put out the call to his crew - get on the ship, leave no man behind. Or woman, Cynthia.
The storm hit while they were two days out from the island. It would take all hands on deck to keep the Nightfury from capsizing, good thing they have a couple of solid dragons to keep things in check. Just watch out for Gaius and his fiery pendant! By the time the storm blows out in the wee hours on the 4th, the charts put them drifting near to Eternal Bliss. Are the residents still pissed at pirates for what Kodachi did? Who cares, they need to land to make repairs. And maybe score some treasure, if anyone wants to go through the marriage requirement.
Date your posts and mingle away!]

B. Of course, it doesn't stay that way for too long. Hiccup does his best to keep on top of things during cast-off and sailing IN A STORM. Unfortunately, he's still a lightweight. Trying to get around on a ship that's being blown about like a toy boat and threatened with being swallowed by huge waves makes this a picnic. In the sarcastic sense, that is. The rain doesn't help much either.
C. Once the last day of the storm rolls around, he's pretty relieved to have some kind of footing again. And a well-deserved break.]

Hang on tight, Hiccup! Just hold that rope till I can get 'er tied down!

November 1-5
[Roxas has been loaded up onto the ship and he had made it onto the deck of the ship. For something to do, he may have wandered about blindly. Because he's lost in his nightmare, he can be found curled up on the edge of the deck, catatonic and staring at nothing, when he's left alone. Occasionally he can be found with tears sliding down his cheeks. Until the nightmare lifts on the fourth, this is how he can be found.]
B
[The nightmare is finally over. It's been days since he's slept or ate at all and he's feeling a little cranky. He has no desire to go back to sleep, not when he expects what will await him. He doesn't feel like doing much else, lounging around on the railing of the ship. This way he looks a lot more alive. He isn't sure what the hell just happened, but he isn't very happy about it. On the bright side, now his only problem is this girl nonsense.]
A!
Toothless is on his guard the moment he hears that unearthly sound from somewhere below deck, but when it stops, there's a new sound, an even more dangerous one. Growling at the skies doesn't do a thing to prevent the storm from hitting, and with the winds as wild as they are, the dragon keeps his wings close to his body as he slinks along the deck. The waves that roll beneath the ship are nearly as tall as the ship is long, and it takes some careful maneuvering upon the slick deck to make sure he doesn't go overboard.
And amidst it all is the blond boy that fed him as a cat and played with him as a dragon. Well, he's not a boy right now, but Toothless isn't really particular of what he is. But right now he is a bit concerned that the blond might get caught by a wave. He growl-gurbles at Roxas, confused, and if the kid doesn't move, then the dragon might try to nudge him back below deck.]

Nov 3 - 4
[There was no way that Gaius was going to keep the thing on him when it had been on the blink (literally) ever since they'd pulled into port. The lack of sun hadn't really made things any better, but with all the strangeness happening in Isla Empieza alone, the thief and first mate of the Nightfury had no complaints in Gan Ning's decision to get going.
He knew better than to think that the worst was over. The light hadn't stopped- in fact it'd only grown steadier, glowing. And then he wasted a perfectly good slice of cheesecake once the shard in the medallion started to scream, startling him so badly he'd dropped the plate, and he couldn't pause to pick it up in favor of clapping his hands over his ears.
Which was worse, the storm that exploded around them outside or the sound that had seemed to herald it, Gaius couldn't say. He made his way outside despite his better judgement, but better to make sure none of the crew's gone overboard in this sudden storm. He didn't want to lose anyone else.]
---
B
[It wouldn't be hard to spot him. Once it was clear that all hands were
stillon deck, or below, most likely, Gaius could try and relax a little. ...or not. The obnoxiously glowing pendant was hissing where it hung from its chain that he'd wound about his belt.]Uh-oh.
[-and one might see a red-tinged blur as he dashed towards the galley, tossing the medallion into one of their cooking pots, following it up with a bucket of water. He winced at the gout of steam that followed before the water swallowed up the medallion and glowing shard. And when it started to bubble a bit, he couldn't say that he was surprised, although he was no less disturbed.]
B
Until Gaius came zooming past him in the middle of the storm.
Gan Ning follows, wanting to know what the hell that was all about, and pops his head into the galley in time to see a boiling pot of water.]

Holy mother loving catchall bonanza, yup
Pitch black night coupled with the sound of quiet seas and whatever else makes a sound at 3 in the morning. That was the time the champion decided it was time to return to her crew. Sure it was a little sketchy. But after disappearing, reappearing, then asking for some space from her crew. She really wasn't in the mood to be interrogated or fussed over. But now she was faced with two things. One, her stupid heels against the wooden floor of the boat? Might as well scream that she was there. Two, she slept all day that day, so she was WIDE awake.
In the end, she drops off her things in her room and heads for the galley for breakfast.
B. Nov 2
Time away or not, she was still quartermaster. That being said, she still had duties and that included distributing allowance, checking what's left of the treasure and handing out the different items that she ordered specially for the crew. Don't worry though, she's going room to room to give out the allowance and stuff. So when you hear a knock on your door. It's probably her. Also anyone with a sharp eye might catch the new tattoo on her wrist
C. Nov 5-onwards
She was utterly frustrated with this island. As the quartermaster, she wanted in on that wedding island treasure SO BAD. After all, she had to provide for her crew. But, apparently, she had to get married to gain access to it.
FRUSTRATION. COMPLETE AND UTTER FRUSTRATION.

11/6 on!
In any case, he arrives in a flash with his wand out and at the ready, casting a wary look around. He's also got a satchel slung over his shoulder and cautiousness aside, he's pretty eager to be here. The closest he's ever been to dragons before was when he was stuck up in the stands watching other people get to mess around with them during the Triwizard Tournament, and terrifying as they were, they were also really cool.]

Toothless is perched upon the mast, having caught a whiff of an unfamiliar scent. He peers down at Draco, head tilted curiously as he watches, careful and still
as a predator should be. And then very slowly he drops down to the deck, slinking low across it in his approach, seeming more cautious than something out on a hunt.](no subject)

11/8? or something...
[After a moment she used her arms to heft herself over the edge, tail with her right now instead of legs. So he might hear a heavy, wet slap as the fin his deck. She shouldered her pack, knicking it to the deck and rested her arms on it, half hiding behind it to peek over at the boy.]

11/5 - onwards
[Lea kept to himself throughout the nightmares that plagued the crew. He was so convinced he couldn't trust any of them anymore, that he was completely on his own, so it was easiest just to withdraw and not deal with it. Some hero, huh?
Well, thank goodness that mess is all over.
After the storm clears, he spends a long time in the kitchen baking, so he has a plate of butternut squash bread to carry around while he checks and makes sure everyone's back to normal. Makes the conversations a little less awkward, you know?]
[B]
[He's not big into the wedding thing or the treasure thing, so he's not really feeling Eternal Bliss as a whole. Maybe he'll get a haircut. Or someone could try to intervene.]

11-6 and On - LATE as always, sorry all.
[On the ship she thankfully didn’t get in trouble over nightmares, but when things went off big she took to the waters. While at the island, if she wasn’t on land, she was swimming back to the ship, climbing up the side and dripping off her goods or once in a while just sitting at the head of the ship and gazing off at the waters or the lands, legs curled under her.]
[B: On Island]
[She wants to go treasure hunting too. At last she has legs and can explore islands and they end up on one where she can’t explore everything unless she was married? That seemed REALLY unfair! So she’s shopping in the village or selling small pearls for things here or there.]
[In general, she can be found around the island, a little sad she can’t go adventuring with others, but is making the best of it and her legs.]
11/7 - B
Wait, wasn't she a mermaid before? He seemed vaguely to remember a tail....
Oh well, people change. Roxas should know all about that. She's at a stall and he finds himself wondering what she's looking at. He wanders over himself to peer at the wares, and at his crewmate.]

11/14 - Closed to Gan Ning!
It's a different atmosphere than his ship. Not one he's sure his mother would enjoy, especially with all the animals on board. But Ariel said something to him when he first met her, and the thought has been lingering on his mind ever since.
So sometime in the afternoon, over a week after he first arrived, he goes searching for Gan Ning and finds him [INSERT WHEREVER IDK]. He clears his throat to catch his attention before speaking.]
