[As soon as the sun did not rise on the 1st, like others had suggested it would, Gan Ning wanted off Isla Empieza. He put out the call to his crew - get on the ship, leave no man behind. Or woman, Cynthia.

The storm hit while they were two days out from the island. It would take all hands on deck to keep the Nightfury from capsizing, good thing they have a couple of solid dragons to keep things in check. Just watch out for Gaius and his fiery pendant! By the time the storm blows out in the wee hours on the 4th, the charts put them drifting near to Eternal Bliss. Are the residents still pissed at pirates for what Kodachi did? Who cares, they need to land to make repairs. And maybe score some treasure, if anyone wants to go through the marriage requirement.

[Roxas slumps a little. At least in this position he's not required to look at Lea at the moment. He just told Lea what was on his mind, but he sounds somewhat less enthused about the whole thing.

It's really Roxas' fault. Lea told him before he didn't want to do any dating with him.]

Yeah, really, I guess. It's okay, we don't have to. When we go to the island, I'll just go get you some food that I promised you and I'll bring it to you okay? I won't forget!

[He isn't all that great at describing things and although he has more on his mind than some elementary school crush, considering everything, he has no idea it comes across that way. What he did notice though was Lea shoving him and making comments instead of being on board with the plan so at some point he's said something stupid. Actually, the whole thing was probably stupid and maybe Lea just didn't want to say that. He rubs at his forehead, trying to decipher just what's going on here.]

Knock it off. I said I'd go and I'm gonna go.

[Lea sighs and leans back. There's really no way to bring these things up. That's what he's learning.]

If I didn't know better, I'd say someone taught you the fine art of the guilt trip.

[It isn't so much that, but Roxas is trying to pick up on his unspoken cues. He isn't very good at it however.]

If you're sure Lea.

[He blinks at the comment and turns his head to glance at him.]

What do you mean? I'm not trying to do anything. It's just if you didn't want to go, that's okay. We could do something else.

I didn't say I didn't want to go! Geez, lay it on any thicker and you're gonna start sounding like my mom!

[The girl voice isn't helping.]

[Honestly, Roxas is a little alarmed at Lea's reaction. He isn't really sure what to make of it. He isn't trying to guilt him at all, whatever that's worth.

What he does know is that opening his mouth is not helping him right now. Roxas doesn't want to fight with Lea, because he's still a little freaked out and doesn't want to leave his arms just yet.

He closes his mouth and leans forward a little, resting his chin on the palm of his hand, the elbow resting on his knee. He sighs but says nothing.]

[Lea lets him stew a bit. Roxas going quiet is never good, but you can't tell right away whether it's one of those "I'm thinking" quiets or a "I'm being quiet and pretending I'm not here so you won't be mad" quiets. The first is occasionally productive. The second never is.

When he figures Roxas has had enough time to sulk and/or think things over, Lea tickles his side.]

[He giggles lightly against his will and swats Lea's hand away.]

Stop that!

Nope. Thinking time is up. I was starting to smell smoke.

[Lea tickles him one last time for good measure. It's a cheap trick, but it works every time.]

[He giggles softly and this time he turns and swats Lea's chest.]

Don't do that! I wasn't really thinking about much anyway. It's not important.

Uh huh. Sure. Whatever you say.

[Lea smacks him back.]

I know what I saw.

[And he's managed to disrupt it somewhat, at least. Whether that will come back to bite him in the ass later remains to be seen.]

[Roxas rolls his eyes at Lea but just relaxes in his comfort, resting his hands on top of Lea's.]
