With the nightmares finally subsided, the Spades weigh anchor at the next island. Thankfully, the entire thing is full of water parks! Your generous Commanders will find a way to work out a deal with one of the medium sized parks on the waterfront for an extended stay pass- discounted, of course, since they'll be buying in bulk, but if you want to go to the other ones you'll do it on your own coin- or have to sneak in. Make sure to read the island description, there's a TON of things to do here! Catchalls, dated threads, etc, whatever. Just jump in, have fun, and to hell with fiddly particulars. I have no idea how long we'll be here.

*Selphie turns suddenly at the sound of Thatch's voice, smiling up at him and his way of greeting. But then she sees the glass in his hand and her eyes widen, glancing this way and that as though she's scared he'll get into trouble*

Thatch! Are you supposed to be drinking that in here?

[thatched]

I'm a pirate, love. [he sips it and raises his eyebrows at her] This is in my job description.

[he playfully tugs on her hair] Having fun, Princess?

[booyaka_boom]

Yes, you are! *Selphie smiles at that then goes onto tiptoes to peer into his glass* Hmm. It smells good. Maybe I should get one too so that I can be a pirate too!

*She giggles at him playing with her hair, then turns and points at some brightly coloured seahorses*

Yeah - look!

[thatched]

[he does so.] Not bad. I could see them barbecued. [and then before she can hit him, distracts her with the glass] Care for a sip? [it might be a little strong for a first timer but Thatch isn't worried]

Barbecued?! *And really, she is about to whirl round and give him a piece of her mind but then - Oh! A drink!*

*Selphie takes the glass from him and inspects the drink for a moment, under no illusions that this will be any kind of soft drink, then she takes a gulp. It sure is strong, as shown by the face she makes when she squeezes her eyes tight shut*

Whoa!

[thatched]

[he chuckles. It wasn't that strong to him, but it was cute to watch her react]

Like it? Warms you all the way down.

*Selphie blinks a few times, the after effect being much nicer than the initial gulp. Enough so that she takes another mouthful, stomping a foot at how strong it is for her*

Wow! It really does!

*To which she just grins and hands it back to him*

[he takes the drink back. An attendant is giving him a sour look but doesn't say anything because Thatch is seven feet and built like a very handsome tank]

Care to go get something to eat? I thought I saw a shrimp and seahorse shish kabob place not too far from here.

*Selphie glances at the person looking at Thatch like that, then she looks over to him with her told-you-so face. At the mention of food, though, she gives an enthusiastic nod*

Sure! But I might skip on the seahorses...

[thatched]

[he sticks his tongue out at her and then starts to lead the way]
Why? They're delicious. Sweet like candy and spicy like sin.

[is he joking? Possibly]

*Selphie sticks her tongue straight back out at him then stomps over to his side so that she can walk alongside him. At his comment, she reaches out to poke him in the side*

Yeah, yeah, whatever! So long as I can get some dessert then I'm happy. Ooh, and I might try one of those things that you're drinking! *Though probably a weaker version. She seems pretty determined to treat herself while she's here though*

[thatched]

Really? [mock surprise] You're slowly but surely becoming corrupted, my dear. [he wipes away a fake tear] I'm so proud. Soon you'll be scantily clad and fighting with the best of them.

[booyaka_boom]

Corrupted? No way! *Have some mock horror right back at you. She rolls her eyes and nudges him when he wipes away that fake tear, but then she genuinely does look put out*

He-ey! I'm a fighter already!

[thatched]

I didn't say you weren't a fighter, it's just not so much the other. [he wiggles his eyebrows to let you know he's teasing]

Oi! *She has to make a show of being offended after all, nudging him playfully in the ribs*

There's nothing wrong with the outfits I wear when I fight!

[thatched]

[he laughs and holds up his hands] Alright alright.

[and then strokes his beard thoughtfully] Maybe I should consider my outfit then. Something with a slit, do you think?
