Welcome to Blackfisk
Who: The Maharajan and Triton’s Mistress Crews
Where: Blackfisk
When: Now
What: Sinbad wants to expand his trading empire into Templar territory.
Warnings: Possible violence
Style: Whatever you want
Status: Closed
Any flying a pirate flag are instantly met with suspicion on these Octopus shaped shores. Small troops of soldiers greet new arrivals at the docks to search through their holds for contraband spices, wine, and especially human cargo. The new mayor wants to see an end to the human trafficking ring whose destruction set him in Office to begin with and his men have orders to arrest pirates on sight. The patrols might be avoided if fortune and timing go in your favor,or if you know the secret passcode that signals you are working for the island’s best interests, or even if you hide your ship on the leeward side of the island. But, any unlucky enough to get caught may find themselves carted off to prison to be handed over to the Navy later.

The Marketplace
Re: The Marketplace
He's currently staring at the third furniture shop he's come across deciding whether or not to enter.
no subject
"You might need to enter through the door, my good man. It's rare when the furniture comes outside to greet you."
He stepped forward, leaning up close to the window, to see for himself what had gained so much interest.
"Looking for a desk?"

"What's so amusing? A man could go window shopping." That might have sounded better in his head.

Phantom F Harlock, scourge of the sea and space, and menace to furniture. She's not above teasing him, even though she respects him.

They shouldn't need too much by way of supplies, but the young dragon keeps an eye out for anything interesting. He wonders if he might find a smithy here with a reasonably priced blade
and the smith not horribly murdered by someone's nightmare, all the while still thinking of his conversation with Eris. Those fruits and vegetables do look tasty however, and one can never complain about having fresh produce for meals once you're out sailing again.

"Oi, you there! You have the proper paerwork to be shopping here?"
no subject
"U-uwah! Did you have to yell like that?" he sputtered, but once he calmed down, Lyrik peered at the man confusedly.
"...paperwork?"

So the young, clean-cut teenager was wandering through the streets, clutching a book to his chest, a bit wide-eyed about it all.

"Oi you! Hold up there!"
The soldier forced his way though the crowd, giving one too slow to move customer a shoulder check to hurry him out of the way.
"Let me see your papers."
no subject
"Papers?" he repeated. "...I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean."

The Mayor's Office
no subject
"Mr. Mayor! A pleasure to meet you!"

After Sinbad barged into the office and introduced himself, Ja'far tried to hide the horrified look on his face and bowed politely. He was tempted to poke Sinbad in the small of the back to remind him to be polite as well, but respectful poise and silence seemed to be a better choice. For the moment.
no subject
"Meet you, sir? You barged in here without warning or appointment and have not yet given your name, I would not say we had met yet. Who are you?"

Closed to Kevin
The new guy was a disaster.
It was easy enough to find him on the island. You just had to follow the outrage and the complaints. Since he was invested in making sure they got off the island with as many people as he'd already listed on the crew roster and budgeted food and supplies for, following the outrage and complaints was exactly what Ja'far was doing. Sure enough, there was Kevin...doing that thing he did...
Ja'far slipped into the crowd of people, making polite apologies and bowing until he could approach Kevin. He didn't exactly want to make it clear that he was associated with him, so instead he tried to catch his attention and mouth "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" at him once he did.

It was easy to apologize to non-existent crowd, considering they had already wandered away, and turn his attention to Ja'far. "What?" he asked simply, holding his book to his chest and holding out the other hand.
no subject
Ja'far scowled up at at him, free to drop the polite front now that there was no crowd to impress. He had to be on his guard all the time on Blackfisk because Sin was determined to establish trade with the place, but if the natives weren't about, he had no reason to spare the crew from his temper.
no subject
He looked down at Ja'far, lips curling a little in concern. "Have you been out here by yourself long? Did you get lost?" When Sinbad had mentioned his second in command was younger than him, he hadn't imagined he would be quite so young. Or so small. It worried him- he already knew Sinbad was reckless, but these two were just children. And as he had already learned, this was no Disney World.
