Meeting of the Minds

Who: Everyone who chooses to participate
Where: Breakneck Cay
When: December 5th
What: A summit to get down to business and get this situation sorted out, L-Elf-style
Warnings: Possible violence?
Style: Any
Status: Open

Upon arriving on Breakneck Cay, if you can navigate the shoals safely and find safe mooring, you'll notice that the beach is more or less abandoned unless you count the countless shipwrecks an snarled piles of debris strewn across the shore. If you approach the jungle, you'll notice a makeshift sign pointing towards a path leading into the trees. There's a lengthy note tacked to it with a detailed map, an exhaustive list of rules and etiquette for participating in a military summit, and probably more if anyone actually got past the part with the map.

The meeting is to be held in a strangely silent clearing. Upon arriving, you'll find L-Elf sitting on the huge stone in the center, fast asleep. It's immediately obvious that this is not a social occasion or it at least wasn't planned by someone with any idea how to make guests feel comfortable. There's nowhere to sit except on the ground and definitely no refreshments. It might be a good idea to send someone back to the ship to pick something up if you want to make it through this thing.

[She glances over at Arthur.]

There's the other problem of who will do what, and how we can guarantee to not be double-crossed.

We have Empieza as a friendly port, solid deck under me is the only place I need.

As Space Pirates my friend was working on setting up hideouts on asteroids all over the Milky Way. I doubt we'd be allowed to permanently settle.

The one most likely to double-cross us is Jones.

Friendly, yes, but not ours.

A solid base for those displaced, that we control, would not go amiss.
redcinemareel: (Grell: who cares)

We aren't being allowed to do many things, but why should that stop us?

[Grell shrugs at the last statement.]

The only people I trust are my crew. [Even if sometimes they want to throttle each other.] And also, the alliance I have with another crew.
arcadiasailor: (i dare you)

Staying in one place just gives the Navy a single target to wipe us all out.

[Oh right this is the one that took a declaration of "I won't stand for people having hissy fits and burning down half a village" as challenge.]

If someone told you not to jump off a cliff you'd jump wouldn't you?
redcinemareel: (Grell: O RLY?)

A good point. We'd need a way to circumvent any unwanted visitors.

[His question makes her raise an eyebrow.]

Why would I want to jump off a cliff?

It also gives us a defensible position. Believe me, an island can be well defended with a proper sea defense. Our own navy, as it were.

[Really, who would know better than that.]

He means in a way to just be contrary to what you're told, Captain.
redcinemareel: (Grell: Hmm?)

[She crosses her arms, actually giving the previous question some real thought.]

Then that would depend on the cliff, I suppose.
