Meeting of the Minds
Who: Everyone who chooses to participate
Where: Breakneck Cay
When: December 5th
What: A summit to get down to business and get this situation sorted out, L-Elf-style
Warnings: Possible violence?
Style: Any
Status: Open
Upon arriving on Breakneck Cay, if you can navigate the shoals safely and find safe mooring, you'll notice that the beach is more or less abandoned unless you count the countless shipwrecks an snarled piles of debris strewn across the shore. If you approach the jungle, you'll notice a makeshift sign pointing towards a path leading into the trees. There's a lengthy note tacked to it with a detailed map, an exhaustive list of rules and etiquette for participating in a military summit, and probably more if anyone actually got past the part with the map.
The meeting is to be held in a strangely silent clearing. Upon arriving, you'll find L-Elf sitting on the huge stone in the center, fast asleep. It's immediately obvious that this is not a social occasion or it at least wasn't planned by someone with any idea how to make guests feel comfortable. There's nowhere to sit except on the ground and definitely no refreshments. It might be a good idea to send someone back to the ship to pick something up if you want to make it through this thing.

I'm tired of forgetting everything. I know I can't seem to help it, but I hate it.
no subject
Cheer up kiddo, everyone forgets something sometimes.
no subject
[He sighs softly.]
I've heard it a few times. Lea hates it when I feel bad about this stuff.]
no subject
[Then just sits, and quietly stares.]
[If you know what he's going to say, why should he say it? :P]
no subject
I'm just frustrated. I've been remembering when I don't remember. I just get so mad. I can't hurt myself though.
[No punching things to make him feel better.]
no subject
[And he cocks his head to the side as if to ask.]
no subject
Guess I deserve that. I don't know what to do with my anger. There is nothing to hurt. Well...Xemnas. But he isn't here.
no subject
I'm supposed to be the birdbrain here, yoi. You could shoot me full of your light magic and it wouldn't even dent me. That's why I can't fight like this. It's not very damaging.
[But since he doesn't know if Roxas gets it yet, he puffs himself up bigger, and tackles the kid again.]
no subject
What are you...? You want to fight me?
[It is kind of annoying, this pecking and tackling. He hasn't had a spar in a long while.]
no subject
[He really can't fight like this. Sure he gets talons and a beak, but the beak can't damage half as much as a rose thorn, and the talons are meant to catch blades, not act as them.]
[But sure, fight him.]
[It'll be like hitting fluffy clouds that roll around and dodge. And sparkle.]
no subject
Even if Marco makes a cute, fluffy friend. He nods a little. Roxas doesn't do hand to hand. He trusts Marco can hold his own.]
I won't hold back.
[Oathkeeper appears in his right hand and he grasps it with both. He might not have mastered his balance, but he'll be fine.]
no subject
[Marco doesn't hold back either, and that's why he wouldn't spar his father. Strongest man in the world or not, it wouldn't have done anything, since neither of them could have really learned from it.]
[But in this case, he figures maybe Roxas can learn something, so it'd be worth it.]
[He doesn't give any warning before tackling the girl in a rush again, however.]
Caw caw caw caw.
[Mocking, just to get Roxas annoyed.]
no subject
The mocking though. That does annoy him. He snorts and launches his own attack, charging in. He swings and it's a feint, he's using fancy footwork to end up behind Marco to swing for real.
Roxas is a lot faster than he looks.]

If Marco likes holding the keyblade, he'll be disappointed as it vanishes from his grasp and back into Roxas' hands. It's tough, but he throws himself into a direct attack. His speed, his agility and the way he handles his blows shows experience fighting those bigger than him.]
no subject
[Marco loves a good surprise in fighting -- when it's not getting knocked out of the sky by Ace's grandfather punching him in the jaw anyway.]
[He's definitely startled, however, and completely thrown off balance. He hadn't expected Roxas to let go, and he definitely didn't expect the key to suddenly go missing. For all his extended neck as a bird, that doesn't help much when he's tumbling on his side and back.]
[He blinks and looks all around, as though thinking he dropped the keyblade -- which of course results in getting hit pretty quickly.]
[It takes him a little longer to even realize what happened, and when he does, he starts laughing in bird, before crouching lower into a small ball and aiming a small tapping kick for Roxas' legs.]
[It's not enough to do much damage, or even throw Roxas off balance again, most likely, but more for emphasis to try to push Roxas back.]

[A little smirk. He holds out his left hand. Marco, meet Oblivion
He shifts, this is where his form gets tricky. He runs in, blades dragging behind him. He swings one than the other.]
no subject
[OH HELL NO!]
[Marco has no idea what those are or what they'll do!]
[So that means his eyes widen in alarm and before Roxas can react, Marco runs around like a chicken with his head cut off.]
[Bravest birdman ever yo.]
no subject
Roxas swings Oblivion up onto his shoulders, watching him run around. Laughter bubbles up from inside him.]
no subject
[He glares huffily and squawks grumpily in phoenix, flailing his wings some more and then slumps into the sand.]
[No respect, yoi. He never gets any respect.]
no subject
[He has to whistle and talk through giggles.]
Come here, I won't attack you!
