Upon arriving on Breakneck Cay, if you can navigate the shoals safely and find safe mooring, you'll notice that the beach is more or less abandoned unless you count the countless shipwrecks an snarled piles of debris strewn across the shore. If you approach the jungle, you'll notice a makeshift sign pointing towards a path leading into the trees. There's a lengthy note tacked to it with a detailed map, an exhaustive list of rules and etiquette for participating in a military summit, and probably more if anyone actually got past the part with the map.

The meeting is to be held in a strangely silent clearing. Upon arriving, you'll find L-Elf sitting on the huge stone in the center, fast asleep. It's immediately obvious that this is not a social occasion or it at least wasn't planned by someone with any idea how to make guests feel comfortable. There's nowhere to sit except on the ground and definitely no refreshments. It might be a good idea to send someone back to the ship to pick something up if you want to make it through this thing.

I agree with you, but you have to do what they want or they kill you. There are many ways to get killed in Parthevia.

Sheesh...yeah, there's a lotta ways to get killed where I come from too, but it's usually pirates, bounty hunters, navy or local officers... Not people under kings' orders

I'd say where I'm from the royalty is the worst. The country is doomed, I can tell you that much. A place where the people aren't safe is...just doomed.

I haven't been back to Parthevia in awhile. I'm not planning on it either, they're trying to kill me. They've already sent assassins after me twice. I'm going to make my own country.

I want to be king, so I'll make my own country! I'll get people to come with me, I'll find somewhere that belongs to no one and I'll make it my own. It's going to be the best country! I'll take care of everyone.

...huh. Is there a lot of unowned land in your world? Seems like it'd be hard to find enough free land to make a full size country, but I guess you'd be starting out small in the beginning anyway...

Uh, well I don't really know. I'd never left Parthevia before. I haven't seen a lot of the world yet, but I will!

[He seems undaunted.]

[he gave a small laugh, though he didn't sound mocking] well, nothing wrong with confidence and working hard towards a goal. Just make sure you're prepared if things don't go quite the way you'd like.
