'Course I did... [Pats himself down, checking to see what might be amiss and muttering the whole time.] I'm the only guy on this crew who ever bothers to look in a damn mirror.

[He can't find anything, though. What the hell? His outfit is totally fine and is obviously not anything Zoro would ever willingly wear.

Though something Zoro said is kind of important, and Sanji's head snaps back up when it registers.]

Wait, you're telling me this shit [juts a thumb over his shoulder at the bowl he has on the counter] is alcoholic?

[........Huh. WELL, he would've tasted it before mixing it in anything, at least! But that's...still good to know. Ahah. Whoops.]

Yeah. [and he's pretty excited about it, too.] Some kind of mint liquor - nothing I'd drink straight but it tastes pretty good.

[he most certainly did lick some off his fingers, yep.

Dunno how long it's gonna last, though, so I don't know if a bowl will do or if I should haul some empty barrels out of the hold.

[he wanders over just to sort of see how big the biggest bowl Sanji's kitchen contains might be, and at the same time, ruffles the cook's hair to see if it's just green because it's wet or if something truly, spectacularly hilarious has happened. Of coursek, if it's just the liquor, he'll happily lick a little bit more off his fingers. It's a win-win move.]

[Instantly batting Zoro's hands away with a scowl, though it morphs soon enough into an 'eww' kinda face when Zoro starts licking his fingers. Yeah, he can tell his hair's still damp and all but—

It's damp from that shitty mint liquor rain which is oh shitfuck goddammit.

Sanji's eyes go wide and he quickly snaps the burner on the stove off before shoving Zoro out of the way so he can grab a pan. Which he then looks into.

What the fuck?!

[Yep, is hair sure is damn near almost as green as Zoro's. He just gapes at himself for a long moment, turning his face this way and that to try to get the full picture.]

Holy shit, my hair.

[Snorts, trying to hold it in, but nope, can't. Promptly busts a gust laughing. This is even more hilarious than walking back to the ship drunk with a rubber dick in his sash! And that was pretty damn hilarious.]

[bahaha oh my god it's so awesome. Zoro has to lean on the counter until he stops snickering, and swipes a tear of mirth from his eye]

Still busy looking in the pan, but he's quick to blindly send his foot flying at Zoro because of ALL THAT SHITTY BRAYING LIKE A DAMN DONKEY.]

[regains his wits in time to dodge the kick, letting it whiff over his shoulder]

It'll grow out. [see? there!

He idly pokes into a couple of kitchen cabinets but there's probably nothing there for him to steal.]

What about all those casks from the rum we won? We haven't scuttled all of them yet, have we?

[he's definitely finished off all of them, by now...]

WELL IT NEEDS TO GROW OUT RIGHT NOW.

[HUFFS.

Then tosses the pan onto the stove and folds his arms over his chest, a grumpy expression settling on his face as he watches Zoro nose through his cabinets. He's tempted to just ignore him, but hell, why waste decent booze?]

...Nah, there's a few down in the hold still.

I'm sure it'll wash out.

[waving a hand idly at him before straightening up to face him]

Good. That should do. Free booze is free booze, after all.

[tries to hold Sanji's gaze and just ends up snorting in a failed attempt to stifle more snerking]

I'd say it looks good on you, but it really doesn't.

[Just levelly stares back at him while Zoro's trying to hold his gaze, which probably only makes things worse.

So of course that means that he cracks and blows up the second Zoro snorts at him.]

YOU'RE DAMN STRAIGHT IT DOESN'T!!! You'd better stop finding it funny, shitty marimo, or I'm gonna kick your face in!!

[Promptly spinning around and sticking his head right into the sink as he smacks the faucet on.]

Fuck it, I'm getting rid of this shitty fashion disaster.

[Or he's gonna try to anyway. He might be disappointed with how successful he's...not.]

[too late. Too amused. Especially since it pisses Sanji off - he can't stop enjoying that no matter how much he loves the guy.

Zoro waves a hand at him and leaves him to the attempt, for a bit, while he goes below to fetch some rum casks and put them out to catch the rain. He comes back a little while later to see whether the minty booze actually did wash out, peeping into the galley first before slinking in just in case Sanji is still in a pissy mood.]

He's crouched in front of the oven, checking his reflection in the door, hair sopping wet and...still faintly green.

Sigh.

He glances over his shoulder at Zoro.]

[trying so hard not to crack a grin, twisting his lips to try to suppress it.]

Yeah. I put out a bunch of barrels, we'll see how much of this rain we can catch. It'll tide us over until we can stock up on booze again.
