Remember:

You have until 11:59PM (EST) on Wednesday, March 25th to do the following.

Also, while you may form your own alliance, only the crew in the subject line will be eligible for the reward. But you can always jump throughout the threads of other crews in your alliance.

"I could use a bit of exercise after the last stop we had," he said, "Beating up common thugs isn't much of a workout."

Johnny jumped straight down from the top of the mast, readying himself for a fight.

"I think I've seen a lot worse."

Faye wasn't best pleased to be told that her resting and relaxing time was being interrupted, but she was still quick on her feet. She didn't have time to put boots on, or to put her cigarette out, but she grabbed a gun and made her way quickly towards the cannons. It was time to kick them into gear. Fortunately, Faye maintained them well for eventualities such as these. The big issue was trying to decide if she should just fire, or wait to see whatever these other pirates were going to deliver first.

Shanoa comes up on deck when she hears the yell, the glyphs glowing slightly as she gets ready to use them.

"Why would they want to attack us?"

She's still fairly new to the whole pirate thing, so attacks out of the blue baffle her some.

Just after Shanoa asks that question there's a canon shot coming from one of the enemy ships. It falls just short of their ship, but the next one should hit. Looks like they just got within firing range.

"They want the shards. They must know we have some." When are pirate vs. pirate fights ever not about the shards? Pretty much never. "FIRE AT WILL, MEN! And women too, I guess. Shit, I hope it doesn't take too long to get the canons ready. They've got bigger crews than we do."

It's clear that the enemy ships are crawling with pirates. If Dave had to guess, there are probably between a dozen and two dozen on each ship, and there are three ships coming after them. Nothing he can't take really, but he doesn't want the canons damaging The Guilded Rose.

"I'm gonna head out there and see if I can damage their canons." Dave pulls out his flying skateboard and climbs on. "Unless anyone has a better idea..."

They'll have a hard time steering with their rudders disabled...[he put a hand on the railing] I'll be nearby if you need any backup, Dave.

[cuz he'll probably be in a lot more danger damaging canons than Thash will be under the water screwing up rudders. He dove into the water, swimming at a rapid pace towards the enemy ships]

"Hold on for a moment," Johnny said, estimating a few factors as he judged the distance between their ships, "Assuming they want something on board, they won't risk a sinking. They'll fire to disable, then board at their leisure. Still, we're not in terrible shape. If they're closing on as, they can't afford to turn the ships enough to fire on us."

He fastened his sword to his side before readying a longboat. Johnny's already figured what Thash will be up to.

"This ship should maintain top speed, just try to stay out of range. Since Thash will disrupt their steering, anyone who doesn't have means of reaching those ships on their own and isn't needed here should come with me. I took the liberty of securing a little "help" from Arthur. This little boat will get us there pretty fast," he said, hopping inside. The boat itself seemed to hum with a certain kind of aura, "I should be able to deal with the lead ship on my own. Seizing it will throw the other two into disarray."

Below deck, Faye had the added bonus of at least being able to finish her cigarette, and of being able to curse as loudly and as much as she wanted without worrying about being overheard by the enemy. She worked as quickly as she could, though, and very soon a shot was fired from the cannon - always quite a satisfactory thing to do. And she briskly set about firing the next one.

Shanoa jumped into the long boat with Johnny, since she had no other way of reaching any of the enemy ships.

"My range spells do not reach that far. I will be of better use fighting on one of their ships than staying here."

"Alright then." Dave abandons the idea of attacking the canons. Thash can do a better stopping the rudders anyway and Johnny has a point in that they probably won't try to sink the ship. Faye is doing a great job with the canons, as usual.

Dave is still floating around on his flying skateboard ready to attack, so he might as well. "Ok, cool. You take the flagship and I'll take the one to the right." He hovers closer to the deck and yells below, "FAYE, AIM FOR THE SHIP ON THE LEFT! TRY TO SINK IT!"

There, all the bases are covered. Dave zooms off toward the ship on the right with his sword drawn and ready.

[Thash reached the enemy ships quickly and got to work disabling their rudders. It took a few minutes, but soon enough none of the enemy ships could steer. He'd heard Dave tell Faye to try to sink the one on the left just before he'd gotten out of earshot so he decided to help with that]

[he swam to the bottom of the left ship's hull and swung his sword at it as hard as he could, lodging it into a crevice. Then he grabbed the end of his sword and started trying to pry open a gap big enough to let water in]

With the chaos caused by the loss of rudder and being fired on, they didn't notice the small away boat that was creeping up on their bow. Johnny cruised in close, guiding it along the side before deciding to board. He gestured for Shanoa to get on his back, then bent low at the knees. with a fierce leap, he cleared the distance to the deck, letting her off before he stood.

"Gentlemen!" Johnny laughed, clapping his hands, "I can see that we all have our differences, but I'm sure we can all be reasonable about this. Why don't ya'll be good and jump overboard."

The men drew weapons immediately in response.

"Well, that's a pity. Game on, then!" Johnny said, jumping into the lot of them. His sword was a quick, steely flash as he jumped among them, using his agility to confuse the crowd, making them get in each other's way anytime they tried to open fire or swing on him.

"More comin' toward you, darlin'!" Johnny shouted to her, before kicking two men he had in headlocks into their cohorts, "I'll take this half! Try and drive 'em over the side, it's easier!"

Faye heard Dave's command loud and clear. She couldn't see what the others were up to, but she assumed that Dave only would have ordered such a thing if her crew were well away from that ship on the lift. Promptly after making the order, Faye fires the cannon with precision, aiming to make large holes that would sink the ship quickly. As soon as that one was done, Faye prepared the next shot, and she's set it off as soon as it was ready.

Shanoa nods and readies herself as a few men comes towards her. Since it appears that she is unarmed, they most likely think of her as an easy target. Well the point is to push them overboard and not kill them right? So she won't be summoning a weapon right away.

When the men get closer the glyph on one shoulder glows, and with a gesture, a large stone fist appears to punch two of the men with such force they go overboard. She will just keep doing that for now.

Dave floats on over to the second ship. It probably would've been quicker if he'd gotten into the sailboat, but he has his own sense of style. He's gotta make a big entrance. And anyway, it's better to try to take out all the ships at once.

The pirates greet him with their swords. Dave parries a few of them and decapitates one particular pirate who failed to guard his neck properly. He hops down on the deck and starts fighting his way through the enemy crew.

[After putting a few holes in the leftmost ship to help it sinks faster after Faye's blasts, he surfaced to take a look at what was going on on the decks of the other two ships. Seeing Johnny and Shanoa in one and Dave one his own on the other, he decided to go help Dave]

[There was a loud splash as Thash jumped out of the water at the side of the ship, jumping high enough out of the water to grab the railing and hop on over. His sudden appearance caused quite a distraction, giving Dave even more of an advantage for a moment. He started to swing his sword powerfully at the enemy crew, putting enough force behind his blows to knock back anyone who blocked and hack through anyone who didn't]

Johnny lashes out with several kicks, knocking more men either into one another, or into the water. After stomping a few more out on the deck. He fights his way into the lower decks to clean up stragglers. Several of the men give up outright, as the power crews aren't generally used for frontline fighting. They soon join their cohorts as Johnny moves deeper, checking the hold.

"Done on this end!" he yells, emerging from inside the vessel, "Hey, Shanoa. How's things over there? You got those guys?"

Aware of which ship her crew are on, Faye isn't quite so keen in bombing the crap out of it. Instead she keeps a good look out, firing at the smaller boats, but preparing herself to aim at the main ship if need be.

As Johnny came back on deck, Shanoa blew the last few crew overboard with a wind spell, not giving them a chance to get close to her.

She looks over to Johnny and nods. "I think that is the last of them. What now?"

The distraction Thash caused by jumping on deck worked pretty well for Dave. The moment the pirates looked away he slashed through the midsection of one and stabbed another through the chest. A third turns back just in time to have his head cloven in two, straight down the middle. A few kicks and shoves get the others back far enough that he can parry their attacks. One pirate takes a good look at the gory bodies of the men Dave has slain and jumps ship.

"Thanks for the backup, bro!" Dave yells. There are a few men around him, a few more around Thash, and a couple stragglers quickly approaching. All in all, it should be over soon.

No prob! [it was clear the shark hybrid was enjoying himself as he raised his sword for a particularly strong strike, breaking through a sword raised in an attempted block and the man holding it. Another guy tried to attack his back but only succeeded in falling over when Thash swept his tail under his legs the turned to stab him. Another guy thrust his sword at Thash's side but he dodged, grabbing the man's wrist and dragging him in close to kill him with a bite to the neck. He quickly turned to fight anyone else that was left but found no one but Dave and wounded enemies]

Is that it? [he wiped some blood off his chin with the back of his hand]

In the meantime, Johnny had been busy below deck. It turned out that the final ship was still dead in the water, and they were in the PERFECT position for a little bombardment. After taking a few minutes to properly set up a line of them, he fired them all straight into the ship.

"Everyone gather. We still have one more ship to hit, and it's right up on us," he said, before cutting the main mast and kicking it down. It fell hard, the top of it smashing down on the deck of the final vessel. Men were still panicking from the cannon-fire as he ran across it, touching down on their turf.

Shanoa gives another nod and quickly thinks of a way to get Dave and Thash's attention from the other ship.

Moving her long hair to the side so as to use her large back glyph, she summons an owl familiar. She sends the creature over towards Dave and Thash. Once it gets their attention it flies back towards her. She waves her arms and points to the final ship before running across the fallen mast, summoning her scythe as she goes so that she will be ready for the fighting.

"We should look below deck to see if there's anyone else down there." Dave was about to head for the cabin when the owl flew over to him. Seems like the other guys want his attention. "You know what? Never mind. I'm pretty sure we got them all and it looks like our shipmates need our assistance."

Dave pulls his flying skateboard out again. He'll climb on and fly wherever they're going. "Time for a swim, Thash!"

Alright...[he looked over to where the owl had come from too, diving into the water and heading for that last ship. He boarded it the same way as the first one, jumping out of the water suddenly and tearing into the enemies on deck with his sword]

"Now we just need t-GAH!" Johnny yelped as a whip lashed onto his arm, one crewmate taking advantage of his distraction. Now normally, Johnny's jacket would do the proper job of absorbing the blow. However, this was something stronger. His didn't hurt, it simply...stopped working. It was like he was wearing a lead weight on his forearm.

"Hold up, something's wrong!" he yelled, feeling his body sway, "I feel...off-balance. Are these weapons tainted with some kind of poison?"
