Ah, yes, the purpose of our visit! [Grell will just grab Izanami's arm with a firm grip and drag her inside. Don't bother fighting...like she could.
warharhar]no subject
[Finally, she just allowed herself to be dragged into the store, looking like she would start cursing people the moment they so much as looked at her funny.]
I actually lost the first link for that one outfit for Izanami >.>
Grell goes over a few racks of clothing before picking out a few things for Izanami first. She isn't sure how a few colors will do on her rather bleak complexion, but it's best to try and see. The clothes are shoved into Izanami's arms. There is no refusal to try them on.]

[...where was the rest of it?]
No.
[Like hell she wasn't going to try to say no.]
no subject
[Of course she could! Doesn't mean it would be received well.]
no subject
[There is no way that bit of fabric is all there is to the bottom. There's just no way.]
no subject
Grell huffs and yanks out a long ivory skirt she saw earlier and adds it to the pile.]
There. Now try it on!
no subject
[She huffed away from Grell, going over to where there was some curtained off areas, snapping the curtain closed behind her.]
no subject
Having any troubles?
no subject
[She wasn't going to admit that she was having difficulty. Corsets were not exactly a thing in Japan, after all. She just... didn't see how it was all supposed to work...]

[No, no where near done. Seriously, what were those, latches? She continued to struggle with the damn bodice, before realizing she had a little problem. There was a sharp tug on her hair as she tried to maneuver the thing, sharp enough to draw a faint cry of pain from her.]
[...oh you had to be kidding. She did not have her hair stuck in one of the metal pieces. This was not happening.]
no subject
...Izanami? [She walks over to the closed off area and pulls back the curtain enough to slip in.
What she encounters and hilarious and it takes biting her lip to keep from bursting a stitch.]
Stay still. [So she begins the work of detangling her hair from a metal piece.] These small pieces are beyond your timeline, are they not?

…I am more accustomed to modern clothing, akin to what my representative wears. And even then parts of his attire baffle me.
[What was the purpose of the straps on the sleeves? Or the one about the waist? At least the attendant uniform had been simple, albeit colorful to the point of being obnoxious. The things she puts herself through to understand these mortal creatures.]
no subject
I wouldn't know. These are the most modern I've seen of clothing.
no subject
[She stood up a little straighter once her hair was freed, situating the corset into a much more comfortable position, though she was silent for a long moment, distracted by the view of herself in the mirror. When she finally spoke, her voice was softer, a bit distant.]
...I have not physically stepped foot outside of Yomi for thousands of years. This is my first time even replacing my clothes with something material.
no subject
[She crosses her arms loosely, not being able to fully comprehend coming to being since the beginning of time, itself. Perhaps the only other person who could understand the most would be Undertaker. It makes her feel pretty young, but not entirely naive.]
There isn't anything wrong with moving with time, otherwise you'll simply become extinct. Many have forgotten about you, due to you being out of sight. [She wonders if that was the true punishment bestowed upon her, rather than just being shut away. A double blow, of sorts.]
Don't you think it's time to remind them of just who you are?
no subject
[She let out a shuddering breath, feeling something... entirely uncomfortable, like a hole opening in her chest.]
...what do you mean?
no subject
Because you don't really want to go back, correct?
no subject
[It was the first thought that came to Izanami's mind, and she couldn't help but stare at the image that greeted her in the mirror. It was a long moment before she finally moved, clasping her hands before her. There was real flesh there, not some illusion pulled up around her skeletal frame, not a thing of nightmares that made the one she loved run in terror.]
[A soft breath escaped from her, before she finally did something she did not think she would be doing any time soon: admit that Grell was right.]
No. I do not.
no subject
Then this is a prime opportunity to LIVE as you wish, without regrets. Perhaps make up for lost time.
no subject
'Make up for lost time?' And how do you propose I accomplish this?
[...she did realize her purpose before death was to create and help flourish the islands of Japan, right? She hoped she wouldn't suggest she pick up where she left off...]
no subject
[Grell doesn't expect that, no. She only expects her to have some actual fun.]
no subject
[She glanced at herself in the mirror again. There was a lot about this place that she... just really did not know how to deal with. Perhaps she can learn, as she attempted to in Inaba.]
