Spade Pirates - Isle of the Heartless

Who: The Spade Pirates
Where: The Sea (Heading Southwest), Heartless Island, Stone Nest
When: From 10/16/13 - 10/31/13
What: Sailin'! We'll be all over the place and the log details may change given time.
Warnings: None so far. Can be updated if it gets violent, etc.
Style: Action / Prose is fine.
Status: OPEN to crew, CLOSED to people teleporting in unless there's permission!

[This will be a general catch-all post for mingling! I'll just toss in weather for the next 2 weeks.]

10/16 - 10/20 [AT SEA, SAILING SOUTHWEST] - We'll mingle at our leisure! Ace's Devil Fruit power will push the weather at bay a little and it'll be mostly sunny skies. Also, they may encounter a ghost ship... OK, they will.

10/21 - 10/22 [ARRIVAL TO HEARTLESS ISLAND, LEAVING ON THE 22ND] - You guys can't blame Ace for a hasty escape this time!

10/23 - 10/25 [AT SEA, SAILING ?????] - The crew will be dealing with a sudden squall pending the arrival of a hurricane from the other side of the Heartless Island. As the crew may have to put everything into avoiding the hurricane, their course will be a bit... off.

10/26 - 10/27 [STONE NEST / KRAKEN NEST] - 'Nuff said. They'll leave once it becomes apparent they have nothing else to gain from being there. The weather, upon leaving, will likely be sunny because of Ace.

10/28 - 10/31 [FREE SAILING, MAYBE ISLAND #3'S INITIAL JOURNEY] - Barf. Ghost ships Round 2!

[Natsuno shakes his head.]

We haven't. Yuuki or Koide is fine. I was just cleaning...[He gestures to his mop]

[Is the Doctor going by some alias? Maybe...what kind of a name is that?]

Fair enough. Are you new? I guess I just haven't run into you before.

[He lowers the screwdriver and offers a hand.]

I was just seeing if I could add some stuff to the rigging, automate them a bit. The engine worked, and I thought I'd just keep improving the ship.

[He shakes his head.] Not really.

[At the outstretched hand, he pauses but then reaches out and shakes his hand.]

I didn't think ships like that worked that way. Doesn't it just move with the wind?

Well, the engine's more for emergencies, in case we wind up in a doldrum. Y'know, one of those patches without wind. Happens sometimes out here, and it's better to have a backup. Wouldn't want to be stranded till the wind picked up, would we?

I can't say I know that much about sailing, just what Ace has shown me. It's logical though, if there's no wind, we can't move. What are you doing now, if you already made an engine?

Well, I'm making a way for the sails to retract automatically. Figure...that's probably a good idea in case we get more bad storms.

I suppose that would be useful. It isn't easy to move them during a storm.

Yeah. Riku thought so too, and it's better that we avoid being on deck as much as possible. Less chance of falling overboard and all that.

[Natsuno nods, thinking about it.]

And you can do that? Even though technology here isn't that great?
lonelygod: (What's all this?)

Oh, yeah, easily. I'm the Doctor. It's what I do.

[He grins and zaps a few more things with his screwdriver.]
