What: SORA IS DEAD, Riku is a vampire, basically this week has sucked. :|
Warnings: Depressed Riku, I guess -- trying to keep his mopey lame times contained in one place, haha.
Style: Whichever! But I'm probably sticking with [brackets].
Status: Closed to the crew, whoever is interested (if anyone, totally cool if you want to avoid Riku being pathetic everywhere lol).


[Riku is basically either holed up in his and Sora's room, staring blankly at nothing, or he's up in the crow's nest, watching the sea. He'll still do whatever duties he has around the ship, of course, but his brain is totally elsewhere and overall he's not going out of his way to talk to anyone really. Save maybe Kairi if she's around.

Also that whole bloodlust thing? Yeah. He's ignoring it. And ignoring the need to eat or drink anything at all, really. WHO NEEDS SUSTENANCE. 8D]

[Flies up close to his face.]

[His voice might be a little...squeakier...than usual.]

[Natsuno is honestly a little creeped out.]

Not a huge fan either, but being one is...interesting.

[Backs off and flies around the crow's nest for a bit.]

The flying is kind of awesome.

[He watches him, almost lazily.]

I suppose. I think in theory I should be able to hover or float for short distances. I've never tried though.

Why wouldn't you try that??

[Concentrates again and then as quickly as the bat showed up, it disappears, leaving Riku as he normally is in it's place. He drops down so he's sitting cross-legged, an elbow resting on his knee and his chin propped in his hand.]

Sora can glide around, and even fly in a certain world. I've always been jealous of that.

[Abrupt pause, then Riku gives a slow wince.]

Except, you know. Past tense.

[Natsuno nods a little.]

Well you were just floating. I don't know...I think I could be able to do it, but I don't have that much power. I probably don't drink enough. It's why I get weaker.

See, this is why you should've fed more regularly. Although I guess it's a moot point now. ...Okay, no, it's easy to say that but I can't really see myself going around biting people any more than absolutely necessary. So never mind.

I suppose...but doing something I guess would mean accepting what I've become. I don't want to be a vampire. Nobody asked me. They just made all these assumptions, like always. Tatsumi was pretty mad I didn't want to join his little group.

Who's this Tatsumi guy, anyway?

[He groans.]

If you know any rude names for people, they all apply. He's a Jinrou like me. He was working for the vampires that came to town, he moved with them. He was pretty much like...like a general manager. Sunako's errand boy. He's the one who ordered me dead.

[Blinks.]

Why?

It probably had something to do with the fact we were trying to expose them. We figured we'd catch one and make everyone see it...that was the plan when Tohru-chan came for me.

[He sighs.]

I was his biggest threat. I don't seem that threatening.

Well, people aren't always what they seem...I guess. Still, though. Sounds like a real asshole.

Am I supposed to sit there and do nothing while they kill a thousand people? Anyone would tell them they were there. Or try to anyway. When I left, people still didn't know.

No, of course not. Letting other people know about them was definitely the right move.

I'm pretty sure they though I was supposed to sit back and let them get away with it. Really. Idiots.

[He sighs, closing his eyes.]

They chose the right person for the job. If it was anyone but Tohru-chan, there's no way they would have gotten me. He's a sadist, Tatsumi. It isn't like Tohru-chan wanted to do it either. I'd like to think if we left together it would have worked out, but...probably not. He'd still have to eat something.

Sounds like it was a tough situation all around. Was this Tatsumi guy...controlling Tohru? Somehow?

From what I understand, when people died, they rescued the vampires and taught them to feed and everything, in exchange for that they basically told everyone what to do. I guess being a Jinrou he might have been more powerful then them, or even gone to kill them during the day if they didn't do what he wanted. Maybe held their loved ones hostage..it's hard to say.

What I do know is that he was pretty pissed at me for not seeking him out when I became like this. He found out I was around and dropped by the house for a little...chat. He told me a lot of information, probably trying to get me to agree with him, but I don't like it when people make assumptions about me.

Whatever he had over him, it seemed to be the only choice he could make. [He sighs.] It wouldn't have mattered. The first night, when he bit me, I was corned by Tatsumi and Shimizu. I would have run, but he grabbed me from behind and surprised everyone.

He cried though. His tears were ice cold.

[He hasn't opened his eyes, mostly because it would be far too easy to read him if he did.]

[Just listens, then he's quiet for a moment after before speaking.]

...Man, I'm sorry. That really sucks. I can't imagine what that would've been like if Sora had to...

If we make it back home, you think you'll be able to beat him as a werewolf?

[He's quiet for a few moments.]

Provided I keep to the original plan, I think so. I was going to get some dynamite and corner him and we were going to die together.

[Pinches the bridge of his nose.]

You really need to get over this whole you trying to die thing—there are other ways, you know?

Not really. I'm not as strong as he is, there's a very good chance he would kill me if I'm not careful. He would have already, except this...Sunako was hoping I would join them.

[He looks up at Riku.]

Ozaki-sensei was fine with the plan. None of the vampires should be allowed to live. They eat...they kill. It's not as crazy as it sounds.

[He sighs softly.]

I admit...it's not as appealing as it once was except, I'm not a hypocrite. Faced with him I'd have to...

[Sighs also.]

I can't argue with you, I don't really know what you're up against. If that's really your only chance, I guess you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

I'm really not sure what's going to happen. I could go back and everything's already taken care of. Then I'd...I don't know what I'd do.
