So Selphie has decided that there's been far too much doom and gloom around the ship lately. The kraken, Sora dead, all the problems with the curses, and then turning back again. What better way to make that better than with a little bit of romance? Selphie set to it, using her own supply of candles and flowers (admittedly rather dried up by now). One evening, dotted around the ship in several places, are pop up romantic dates. These include a couple of candles, some flowers, some chocolates, and a sandwich sliced into two (because she wasn't going to cook a whole bunch of meals)!

Who left it there? Who knows? But it definitely looks like it was put there to be enjoyed, ideally by two people. If it looks romantic, that's because it's supposed to be. So grab your nearest and dearest Spade pirate, or bring two people together, and enjoy some flirting, love, and relaxation.

As for Selphie herself, she might be A) somewhere on the ship. Perhaps you stumble across her near a pop up date, or maybe you go looking for her to drag her/invite her to join you for the evening. Or B) you spy her/find her making a massive pile of sandwiches, or sorting dead dried flowers into bouquets, using strips of her pillowcase as ribbons.

[Ikki agrees with that, though rather than mope in a corner he's the type to go get busy and ignore everything.]

[He's not above swiping some of the food off of one of the installations though, grabbing the plate of half sandwiches. He holds it out to Ikki.]

[Ikki arches an eyebrow and takes a sandwich, eyeing it warily.]

What are the chances of this being poisoned?

Doesn't seem likely but...

[Natsuno shrugs and picks one up to bite into it. His eyes turn red for a moment as he takes the bite and chews it before they go back to normal. He waits a few moments.]

Tastes and smells like a normal sandwich. Nothing out of the ordinary.

[He arches an eyebrow before he chuckles and takes a bite himself.]

Not afraid of dying, are we?

Been there already. [He nods a bit.]

I'm a vampire. Poison isn't going to kill me.

Hooo, me too. The been there part, I can't say the same about being a vampire.

I suppose you were that way when you got here and that it's not a gift of the ghosts that they forgot to recover, right?

That's right. I've been a vampire for almost three months. I did get touched by a ghost, but I was a werewolf for that time.

Did the vampire thing vanish during that time or were you some crazy fusion?

[He has to ask.]

I wasn't a vampire at the time, no.

[He shakes his head.]

Coming back to myself was kind of a nightmare. I was...really hungry.

[Ikki hums and takes a bite.]

If we don't have one already maybe we should consider getting some blood supply then, though maintaining it fresh will be difficult. Maybe the doctor can do something.

The problem is, I'm certain it has to be human. Riku doesn't mind volunteering, but it can't just be him, I don't think. I've been feeding about once a month, but really, it probably should be a little more frequently.

I assumed it had to be human, that's usually the thing about vampires as far as I know.

[He clearly doesn't see the problem with it.]

Hn, I can see how just once a month would be a bad idea. You can have mine as well if we can't get a way to keep a blood supply. Just warn me before you start sucking.

[The last part is said with some dry humor, he doesn't think the other would go around jumping them, specially with what he said about how he has been feeding.]

[He looks suitably surprised.]

Oh, well, thank you, I appreciate it. No I don't normally lose control. It's not as necessary as it is for most vampires. I'm a bit of a strange subspecies.

It's hardly a problem, we are on the same crew so as long as that holds true it would be stupid to let you go around hungry or weakened when I can do something about it. Besides, even if you dried me it shouldn't be a problem.

[Had Yuuki been in any other crew Ikki wouldn't have given a rat's ass about it, but that's not the case and he would rather that the people he's forced to work with are at their best shape. Besides, having his blood sucked can't be worse than having each cell in his body explode.]

I can assure you it doesn't hurt. It hurts a little when I actually bite, but I can hypnotize the pain away afterwards. As long as it's not very frequent there's very little risk of death, I can't drink very much at the time.

Pain is nothing new for me so even if it hurt you don't have to convince me into it.

[He takes a bite and pauses before giving the other a look.]

You hungry now?

No, thank you. I just ate the other day so to speak.

[He takes another bite of the sandwich though.] Sandwiches are fine.

Hn, now that you say it, I hadn't even noticed that you had eaten a bit of it before saying that you were a vampire. I guess that's part of the "strange subspecies"?

Yes. I'm actually called a Jinrou which means werewolf, but it really isn't. I didn't do the naming, I was just told.

[He looks thoughtful.]

I'm more alive in a sense. My heart beats, I breathe oxygen. I don't need blood to live, but I do need it to keep my strength and any of my other powers. I can go out in the sunlight...things like that. I can eat food, which does keep my bloodlust at bay for awhile. But like a vampire, I did die. I was going to die before I came here, again I mean, but...here I am and some people aren't letting me do that.

Whoever did the naming wasn't very imaginative if you ask me.

[Ikki continues eating the sandwich slowly as the other thinks and talks. He can't help to actually laugh at the last part about people not letting him die.]

Some people just don't know how to let others have freedom in their choices. I hope that at least they didn't give you speeches about how everyone deserves to live or whatever.

Anyway, basically you are like any other person, with a special knack for human blood and with some special powers. Sorry to say but to me that doesn't seem like a big deal so long as bloodlust doesn't kick in, there are people in the world who eat other people without having superpowers of any kind after all. At least you have an excuse.

Her name was Sunako. Beyond that, I don't really know her. I met her lackey, Tatsumi. He was pretty pissed at me because I didn't join his vampire club.

[He rolls his eyes a little.]

Of course they did. I'm alive now, I should take advantage of it.

[He sighs softly.]

I'm not as upset about it now as I was, I suppose there are things to do, it's just I'm not a big fan of vampires. Our plan was to kill them all, including me. For me not to die, isn't that strange?

I...guess it doesn't seem to be. Most of you guys have been pretty accepting about the whole thing. I don't know how you can be. The vampires at home they just killed most of the village, indiscriminately. If one of them asked me...well except Tohru-chan, I wouldn't have given my blood freely.

[At the mention of a female's name, Ikki's first thought is "why does it always have to be a woman?" but he holds it to himself. Until seconds later Yuuki mentions the name of her lackey, and that sends Ikki coughing in surprise when a bite almost goes the wrong way. Once the coughing submits he eyes the other.]

Please, tell me he wasn't huge and bald with a knack for dressing in samurai armors.

[He doubts it's the case, but then again before arriving here he doubted there were any other phoenixes.]

... I would say that just being here is strange by itself, everything else is a minor addition.

[He coughs a bit against, still bothered by that previous bite.]

Everyone has their own enemies. If a Specter came here I probably wouldn't be happy to even point them in which direction they could try sailing. Though we would have little reason to fight here.

And it's not like you are going around sucking everyone dry, you actually control yourself, so I see no reason to not help you. Denying you any blood will just hinder us all and cause trouble to you and the rest. Besides, I have the feeling that most of the people in this crew has done their own share of killing people for whatever reason or circumstances, with the possible exception of the youngest ones.

[He's thinking about Sora, Riku and Kairi. The rest of the crew? He could see them as having killed at least one person, be it in self-defense or whatever.]

Humans can be as dangerous as vampires either way.

[He nods.]

If he came here, I would kill him. I don't even care what else it would take or if you guys wouldn't support me. He's the one who had me killed. I'm more than justified.

[He looks thoughtful again, pondering that.]

Maybe they have. I haven't killed anyone, but I don't know about anyone else. It'd be hard to guess. I'm sure they can, but not to this scale. We had 1300 people in our village and I'd say when we were coming around to our plan there were maybe 300 people left? If that. Not counting myself of course.

I know of a guy named Tatsumi, he also likes to get pissed at me when I don't bow after and kiss the floor that his princess steps on.

[She's not just Tatsumi's princess, of course, she's a goddess, Ikki's goddess as well, but when Tatsumi gets involved it's hard to see her as what she really is. It's already hard to remember that she's a goddess at any given time, a stupid bully of a butler only makes it worse.]

Don't worry, I don't know if I would help, but I would certainly not get involved whether you are justified or not. There are a couple of people whom I would kill without second thoughts if they suddenly showed up around.

[He hums at the number before he nods.]

It's a hard number to beat, I certainly haven't counted how many people I've killed, but all of them were enemies. People armored and with weapons who had the capacity to strike back or even strike first, and they did that. It can't compare to killing a thousand of innocent villagers who probably didn't know what was hitting them until it was late.

My point was that compared to us, you probably are pretty clean despite being a vampire. You yourself have said that you haven't killed anyone after all.
