So Selphie has decided that there's been far too much doom and gloom around the ship lately. The kraken, Sora dead, all the problems with the curses, and then turning back again. What better way to make that better than with a little bit of romance? Selphie set to it, using her own supply of candles and flowers (admittedly rather dried up by now). One evening, dotted around the ship in several places, are pop up romantic dates. These include a couple of candles, some flowers, some chocolates, and a sandwich sliced into two (because she wasn't going to cook a whole bunch of meals)!

Who left it there? Who knows? But it definitely looks like it was put there to be enjoyed, ideally by two people. If it looks romantic, that's because it's supposed to be. So grab your nearest and dearest Spade pirate, or bring two people together, and enjoy some flirting, love, and relaxation.

As for Selphie herself, she might be A) somewhere on the ship. Perhaps you stumble across her near a pop up date, or maybe you go looking for her to drag her/invite her to join you for the evening. Or B) you spy her/find her making a massive pile of sandwiches, or sorting dead dried flowers into bouquets, using strips of her pillowcase as ribbons.

*She looks at the flowers for a moment, wondering if maybe they were a little ti dry and dead to be romantic. Oh well*

*Possibly, she's still under the impression that he's waiting for Kairi. Or maybe one of the other girls, since he didn't say much about them*

[Looks vaguely alarmed.]

Hey, no, you don't have to—what chances, I'm not.

[WORDS. He huffs and shakes his head briefly, before trying again.]

It's not like I'm waiting for someone!

*Smiling at his reaction, Selphie looks around the ship*

Okay. I guess no one has come by here in a while, so doesn't seem like anyone is using it.. And it'd be a shame for all this to go to waste...

*So she just moves round Riku, grabs a chair, and plops herself down on it*

I suppose I can stay!

[Turns as she walks around him to watch her bemusedly, then chuckles and drops down into the other chair.]

You went through a lot of trouble to set all these up. [Pauses.] Or whoever it was. Chocolate?

[Pops one into his mouth before pushing the plate toward Selphie.]

*Wide eyes flicker up at him when he suspects that it's her, but she just shrugs lightly and gives a coy smile*

Mmhmm, whoever did do it, you mean. They obviously thought it was worthwhile.

*Still grinning, she takes a chocolate and chews on it slowly*

[Grins back at her before lowering his eyes.]

...You know, the first memory I have of you from when we were kids, we were on the beach playing around in the water and you were telling us about the legend of the paopu fruit and babbling about how romantic it was. I think you were maybe...four? And you've repeated that story about five hundred times over the years.

[Glances back up at her, amused.]

You love stuff like this.

*Selphie was reaching out for another chocolate when he mentioned that memory, and she stops, slowly taking back her hand to sit it in her lap. It still feels weird, and it still hurts to know that she's forgotten them*

Oh...really?

*Though she barely glances up, she still tries to smile*

Huh. What's a...paopu fruit?

*Her smile brightens, though, because she really does love this stuff*

[Oops. He winces a bit at her initial reaction, feeling bad, but quickly jumps on the opportunity to explain the paopu fruit since it has her smiling again.]

It's this star-shaped fruit from Destiny Islands. The legend says that if two people share one, their destinies become intertwined.

[Gets a kind of faraway look for a moment. He knows the story word for word, too.]

And they'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what.

*It seems to have worked because she looks much better already, excitedly taking another chocolate and biting at it as she listens to his story*

Oh wow! That really is romantic! Sounds like the best fruit ever!

*Yup, she definitely seems happier as she thinks about this fruit*

Did you ever find any, or eat any?

They were easy to find.

[Takes another chocolate for himself.]

One tree in particular always had them. But no...I've actually never tried one. Thought about it, though.

*Selphie eyes him carefully, tilting her head slightly*

Why not? I totally would try one if I ever found one! I bet they taste delicious too, like magic and love!

[Arches an eyebrow at her, looking amused.]

Not sure what magic and love taste like, but... To be honest, I don't know anyone who has tried one. Well—my parents, I think. My mom's a sap like that.

[Makes a face.]

But the rest of us were just kids.

Oh, me neither, but I bet it tastes awesome!

*Excuse her while she gives a squee of excitement, leaning across the table towards him, her chin in her hands*

Really?! So you're the product of two lovers with their fates forever intertwined by fruit?! That is.. so so beautiful!

[lol wow okay, meanwhile Riku leans back a bit, giving her a suddenly wary and slightly embarrassed look.]

Uh. I...guess? Maybe? [Ew, he doesn't want to think of his parents like that. >.>] I mean, it's just a story, probably just something people do when they're dating and young and dumb and in love and all that. It doesn't mean it's true

He-ey, dating and being in love isn't dumb, you know.

*Says Selphie who obviously knows all about this*

Personally, I'd be like, head over heels and so excited if someone gave me a paopu fruit to share.

*Nodding at this fact, Selphie grabs another chocolate - the plate is basically empty now*

[Rolls his eyes.]

I know. I meant...I dunno, it makes you more willing to believe that kind of stuff. Not that I don't. But. ...I don't know what I'm saying.

[Grabs a sandwich to shut himself up, since the chocolates are pretty much gone. He glances up at that next bit.]

What if it was from someone you weren't interested in?

Well, I guess you can never know unless you've actually tried some. And then only time will tell - and your girlfriend, or wife, or whatever.

*Selphie plays with the pillowcase ribbon wrapped around the bouquet of flowers*

In that case... I wouldn't eat it. But it'd be nice, anyway.

*Because at this rate she'd be over the moon to get a gift from any guy, no matter what it is*

[Nods slowly, munching on his sandwich.]

You probably wouldn't get one from someone you weren't already in love with anyway. They're kind of, you know. A "big deal".

[Totally making one-handed air quotes there, then he gives a dry laugh.]

Most people don't just go tossing them at whoever.

Oh...

*She understands it better now, nodding her head slowly as she thinks about this, a slightly dreamy expression on her face*

Maybe one day... I still think it would be totally romantic. Worst comes to the worst, I'll throw one into a crowd of guys and share it with whoever catches it!

[Chuckles.]

*She laughs a little, picking up the flowers and holding them like a bride's bouquet*

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

[Groans a little, but he's grinning.]

*Eventually, though, she puts the dead flowers back down and gives him a smile and a wink*
