[He calls back way too cheerfully, and with a small tug he steers the Togekiss back towards the ship]

Well, I see lots of water and plenty of clouds, but if you're askin' about land, my answer will be pretty dissapointin'.

I'd be more worried about other ships than land. We don't exactly have radar to spot them.

[Someone who could fly was giving him ideas on how to get around that.]
Is that some sort of alien creature?

Who needs a radar when you have someone who can be a master of the skies?

[He says this confidently as he gently urges Togetaro to land on the ship's deck. He hops off of the Pokemon's back, patting his head gently as he does so]

Aline? What're you thinkin'? This is a Pokemon, they're perfectly native to my home world.

[Air superiority was important but as far as he knew they had one flying creature. By the look of it, the thing didn't look like it could carry much.]

Well on my last ship we saved the pilots and fuel for defense on my last ship. And then there's when there's bad condition for flying by sight. People need to rest. Then there's the chance you'd be spotted and end up leading them right to us.

So you call the creatures on your world pokemon or is it just this one species? There wasn't anything like it on my world.

[ Even before the planet bombing is left unsaid. He reaches out a hand to it. Waiting to see if it would let him touch it. Strange name he wonders why they're called that.]

Well at least it's not a giant bug we stopped to gather supplies on a planet and a feral one tried to eat my scouting party. From the murals we found the native people used to ride them.

All of 'em, of course. Sheesh, none of you guys have Pokemon on your worlds? I find it pretty hard to believe myself.

[Togetaro linefaces as Kodai reaches out to touch him, but he doesn't shy or jerk back. He does look a bit cranky though, but. . . well. That's probably the Togekiss's natural state of being]

There are bug Pokemon. Some of 'em are pretty giant.

There's no reason to think life is going to evolve the same way on different planets. Most animals native to my world have been wiped out by the planet bombs.

[Unfriendly little thing. He gives it's ear a quick scratch before letting his hand drop back to his side.]


The bug was the size of our transport craft and shrugged off the bullets from the assault rifle I had.

I bet there's a bug Pokemon out there who would do somethin' similar!

I don't know about you but I'd like my planet not to have giant man eating insects.

[He reaches out to pat Togetaro's head-- the Togekiss leans away slightly with his cheeks puffed out in a grouchy expression, though was it just Kodai, or were his cheeks a bit red as well. . .? It seemed this Pokemon was a bit tsundere]

And 'course I'm fond of 'em. They're my partners, y'know?
