What'd he say?
[She sounds interested, at least. It's a bit hard to tell, but not impossible.]
no subject
He said that you were "a good lass". In his own [gruff] manner, he conveyed his trust in you and your word.
no subject
Well that's good. Nice to see he still doesn't mind having me around after 3 months.
no subject
Three months is a long time to be at sea.
[Part of her wonders how she'll cope, long term.]
no subject
[Pause. Hmm....]
Have you ever been on board a ship like this one?
no subject
[She answers. It sounds a little awkward to her ears, so she expands upon it after a brief pause.]
The construction of this vessel is different to what I am used to. I've fought in two naval battles, but they were on the Chang Jiang, a river. Both were a matter of necessity. I...
[She shifts her weight, looking uncomfortable as she confesses:]
I have never been on an ocean before.
no subject
Yeah, me neither. Back home the closest thing I got to the sea was when I stole some parts from a sailor.
[...light bulb click.]
...which reminds me. I'm supposed to show you where I keep my stuff, right?
no subject
Ah, yes. [She answers.] Please do.
no subject
Okay. Follow me.
[Despite hating being called a zombie, Zozo sure does walk like one. Her back arches forward slightly as she walks, arms swaying from side to side as she makes her way over to the staircase. At least she's careful with that.]
Watch your step. These stairs can be a real pain.

[A pang of unease makes her pause in the middle of her reply as she watches Zozo move. It's not hopping, Xun Yu tells herself as she follows. Still she's in no hurry to examine just how close to a jiangshi Zozo really is.
Taking the warning to heart, she proceeds with caution.]

This is it. There's a big sign that says do not open on the fridge, so it's kind of hard to miss.
no subject
Fridge...? [She echoes instead.] Is that a special type of container?

[What parts she's talking about is left unsaid, but the fact that her body has large stitches all over it may be a decent hint.]
