[By this point, pretty much all of the puzzle pieces have been put together by Ansem the Wise and King Mickey and...well...the time spent working to save the universe.

There were still tons of questions in regards of who was who, what kind of individual each Nobody had been, etc. But. Well. ...Roxas seemed to have plenty of his own questions.]

...You don't remember what happened after your fight with Axel?

[Sora hadn't really had time to think too much about or question it--a lot of answers had kind of fallen into place throughout his investigations; but, there were still things he was left not knowing.]

I don't remember what we were fighting about. I don't remember what happened right after, because the next thing I remember was fighting Riku, but that was at night.

[He runs his hand through his hair as he thinks about it.]

Then I remember summer vacation but I don't think that was real. When I met Namine and she told me some things, I found some monitors and I broke them. I fought Axel again, and then DiZ was there. He's so annoying.

[He sighs a little.]

Then you were there, asleep, and I came here.

...DiZ, huh? [Well, considering how everything turned out...

His expression drops, completely, for the moment.]

Heh. You had it...pretty crazy, before winding up here, huh?

[He forces his smile back and lets out a laugh.]

So, uh. What was your summer vacation like? There was...Hayner, Pence, and Olette, right? I actually met them. I remember when I was leaving, after the first time talking to them, I was really...sad. [He even cried.]

...I'm pretty sure that was because of you, though.

Maybe...[He scratches his head and shrugs a little, smiling back.]

Summer vacation was good I think. I won the Struggle tournament, but we didn't get to go to the beach. The four of us spent most of the time together, at least, we did in my reality. I don't think it was real though.

[Sad huh? That's what he felt sometimes when he thought about the whole thing.]

Sorry, I think.

Well, if it felt real to you, then it was real enough, I think.

[His brow tenses.]

That's all that matters, right? That you have fun memories to look back and smile at? And...you can make new memories, here! With new friends! As many as you like!

[He offers another smile.]

And don't worry about it. It's not your fault, at all.

[Roxas smiles back.]

I think that's what matters, yeah. It was fun. I've made lots of new friends! There's a lot of people here you know. Lots more than I'm used to, but Lea's here and that's okay.

[It kind of is if his part of Sora's soul is making him miserable.]

Do you know Lea? Is it weird for you? It's a little weird when I talk to Riku sometimes because I know you like him and he's your best friend but I don't know what to think about him.

Heh! Yeah...Fortunately, everyone's really nice. Everyone seems to get along pretty well, too.

[But, he's not miserable! :c]

Lea? [Since he hasn't actually talked to Lea, yet...~~because timey-wimey stuff.~~]

Well, actually, I only know what Riku's told me, so far. But, I think that if we think too much about stuff like that, we'll just keep ourselves confused. [He laughs.] Just take the time to form your own opinion of him. Don't even worry about the fact that he's my best friend.

[Scratches at the side of his head.]

Just because he's my friend, doesn't mean you have to be his friend, too. You're allowed to like or dislike whoever you want.

They are, and it's good, I think. They all know all kinds of things. Oh hey, did you know I could swim? Ikki pushed me over the side when I met him, but it's okay because I can swim.

[Hmm. That doesn't seem right though.]

I don't think I dislike him, I just..it's weird. He told me what happens and everything.

[It's Sora's fault. Not Sora's fault. He's not sure. Yelling at Sora isn't going to make it better though. There's a feeling in his chest, a dull ache one not unlike what he felt when he saw Sora for the first time. Jealousy.]

Being awake and everything was important...right?

[Sora blinks.]

Yeah? No, I...had no idea, actually. But that's good that you can. ....Why'd Ikki push you overboard, though? [He frowns a little.] ...I guess I can understand. Well, maybe that'll change the more you get to know him? [To the part about Riku.]

Well...Yeah. I just...wish it could have been different. You didn't...deserve... [To be given such a short life, then have it taken away. But...] Maybe, here, things can be different for you. You can live your own life and have friends... And go on an adventure! [He offers a bit of a grin, with that part.]

While you're here, you won't have to worry about anyone telling you who to be. You can be whoever you want!

[So stop worrying so much, Roxas. You're overthinking things, bro.]

[Roxas grins at him. Well he doesn't have to worry as long as Sora's okay with everything.]

It's pretty fun being with everyone. Wasn't really fun before in the Organization. I don't like what's coming, I know that. I'm...scared. But I don't have to think about it right now.

[Never mind that Sora. More important things.]

It's because Ikki told me I could fall off and I said I wouldn't. I think he was trying to teach me to be more careful. [He laughs a little.] I like Ikki a lot. He says a lot of confusing things and it makes my head hurt, but I like him!

[With everything, Roxas isn't sure, but finally he leans against Sora.]

You want to be friends Sora?

[Sora's forehead wrinkles a moment, before he looks back up at the sky, a moment. Roxas admitting that he's scared actually...causes his chest to hurt. He doesn't like it. Any of it. Why can't Roxas be guaranteed a happiness, as well? Why's it have to be like this?]

Oh? ...Heh. Ikki is kind just...like that. I think, under that rough exterior, he's just a really nice guy! Maybe someone who has a funny way of showing he cares. [He laughs.]

Huh? [To Roxas leaning against him and asking that question. There's less than a second pause, though, before a wide grin spreads across his face.]

You betcha! [He lets out a laugh.]

[Roxas grins back and nudges him playfully.]

Good! Now...we could have sealed this with ice cream, but we don't have it here. We'll have to do something else. You should think of something.

[He nods enthusiastically.]

Ikki's a good guy, I think.

[He returns the nudge with one of his own, a grin still planted on his face.]

Yeah! He is! Aaaand...[He glances upward.] ...how aboooout... Ah! [He leaps to his feet.]

Wait right here!

[He takes off, then returns, minutes later, with a box.] There! [He hands Roxas a cookie then flops back down next to him. He sets the box between them, before grabbing one and taking a bite out of it.]

I bought them last time we were on land, but I haven't had a chance to enjoy them with anyone. Everyone's been kind of busy, lately.

Oooh, cookies, awesome!

[There is a good chance Roxas has a sweet tooth. He happily takes a bite too.]

Yeah, there's lots of stuff to do around here. A lot to remember, but it's okay. It's kind of fun too.

[Sora grins somewhat proudly. He's more than happy to share, but it's always so much better when the other person genuinely appreciates it!]

Yeah, there really is a lot to do...[He lets out a sigh. Not the annoyed or exasperated sort, but one emphasizing his agreement. Honestly, he doesn't mind hard work, at all. It's a nice feeling to know he's doing something to help his crew.

It's nothing compared to the sort of hard work he'd become used to over the past several years, but...]

Yeah...And, we've got Selphie, who does a lot to help it stay that way! [He lets out a laugh.]

[That's true enough, there are things to do but it's nothing like that. This is really closer to a vacation, Roxas can't help but think.]

I've met her, I think. That name sounds familiar. Everyone's been really nice. It was good, even though it was really really cold. Were you cold? Lea said it was magic, and he couldn't fix it, but he hugged me and it got warmer, so it was good.

[He grins, almost mischievous.]

I liked that, so sometimes I still sneak up and hug him.

[He laughs.]

Yeah, I'd be surprised if you hadn't met her, by now. [Regarding the cold.] Yeah, I did get cold. But uh...Riku and Kairi managed to help with that.

[He grins a bit at the mention of Lea getting surprise hugs.] Yeah? How's that go?

It's really good! He always sighs at me though, 'cause he's like that. That's nothing new.

[Roxas grins and shrugs. Lea will always be the same it seems like, whether he's Lea or Axel or whatever he wants to be called.]

I met Kairi too! I've met lots of people. There's a lot of people around here. There were a lot of people in the Organization too, but most of them were pretty boring. They didn't want to be friends or anything, just Axel.

[He laughs.] Some people are just like that.

[Sora tilts his head a bit, smile in place.]

Oh, uh...yeah. [Roxas, you already said that...right? Sora's blinking a couple of times, appearing to momentarily question something. Still, he doesn't say anything regarding the fact that Roxas has already mentioned meeting Kairi. It's no big deal, right?]

I'm glad you had Axel as your friend. [He genuinely means that, too. Having a best friend always makes everything better.]

[It's really best to ignore that kind of thing, Roxas tends to slip up from time to time.]

Me too. He's a really good friend, most of the time. I didn't like him so much when we were fighting but we made up and it's all okay now. He's really smart you know, he knows everything! Even stupid stuff I don't care about.

[Unfortunately, he might point it out, if he happens to notice it happening often. Sora isn't shy to question certain things.

To the part about Lea knowing stupid stuff, Sora blinks.]

Hm? Stuff like what?

Hang on here...

[He has to think about what Lea said, because he really didn't think it was important at the time.]

Why the sun sets red! I think he said it's because the red light travels further? I don't know. Nobody asked him that.

Oh yeah? ...I think...I've heard that one, before. [Appears to think on it.

Nah, must be his imagination.] That is pretty cool--that there's a color that can travel further than all the others. But that is a pretty random thing to say without being asked. [Laughs.]

...Well, anyway. [Half gestures towards the sea with one of the cookies, before taking a bite.] As fun as it is to travel on a ship, I've gotta say I'm getting a little sick of looking at water all the time. I kind of...really miss being able to travel by Gummi Ship...and see all the different worlds...y'know?

Lea knows everything! [Well not quite, but it seems like it to Roxas.]

I guess so, I don't know. I always used to use the black gates to go places and I wasn't really allowed to explore them much. It might be fun to do that though.

Everything, huh? [Well, that's kind of how he sees Riku, so.]

Black gates? [Whuzzat?] ...Why weren't you allowed to? Was there some kind of secret involved? [Grins a bit, because he's kind of joking. Somewhat. Maybe.]
