Who: The Crew of The Shepherd
Where: Various locations
When: Month of January
What: General crew log
Warnings: None at the moment; EDIT: attempted homicide, violence, and all around insanity, in accordance with the new event
Style: Whichever you feel like
Status: Closed to crew members

And so, at the beginning of January, the Shepherd set off from Isle Impieze back to Green Breeze Island, intent on revisiting what they'd discovered there; there were new crew members after all (in fact, the crew was almost completely different at this point), so there was more than enough justification for it. It would take some time reaching it, but the ship's supplies were well stocked so that wouldn't be an issue at all.

That wasn't the only change, however. The crew had since elected a new captain, and as such, this voyage was a proving grounds for the new status quo.

"But why, what has changed to want us dead." He asked, while trying to for once think of what to do next.

He needed something to help against the sword, but on his person, he had nothing due to his strength and his habit of breaking things. After taking a few steps back to try as best as he could to avoid said sword, he thought about the deck and what was on that he could us.

She turning around, he was going to make a break for it, hoping he could get there in time.

"You wouldn't be able to understand it."

So the kid was choosing to flee? Gaius clicked his tongue against his teeth. Couldn't have him get far, he didn't want him bringing others to attention. Besides, Mana and Alice were already on the move. He had to see how things were going on their end, be there if they needed him.

The thief was pretty quick on his feet, and if Finnian didn't watch it, he might find another pass of a sword being swung towards his back as Gaius followed in pursuit.

Finnian made his way towards the deck as fast as he legs could take him. Making sure to dodge when he had to, getting a slashed down his left arm as he did.

Upon reaching the deck, he looked around, now where was something that could help. The only thing he could think of using was the mast. But that was rather big, but it was the only thing he could think of.

So moving quickly, his arm bleeding as he went as he used it to punch the mast snapping it as he soon made something out of the now broken mast. "Okay, now I feel safer against a sword."

He hoped no one else was up on deck the moment they reached it. He began to see that he'd mistaken Finnian's reasons for wanting to get up here. Wincing at the crunch of wood as the boy's fist met the mast, Gaius couldn't help but stare for a moment.

"...seriously kid? Not that I'm a ship expert, but that part seems kind of important for sailing," he muttered, though he wasn't going to let down his guard now that the boy had a weapon. It was huge and hopefully as unwieldy as it looked, so at least Gaius knew he had some chance of dodging any swings.

Noise out on the beach beyond had caught his attention at that moment, and the thief stole a quick look out past the edge of the ship. Sounded like the girls had already started. They could handle themselves, right? On the other hand, if anyone had been aboard and drawn to the sound of the mast coming down, Gaius might find himself with a lot of unwanted company soon.

He looked back at Finnian. Try to finish this one, but if not, well, he was better at playing support anyway. The girls might need a hand down there.

     "Round two, Finnian."

Gaius hopped up on the railing and ran along it in the boy's direction, anticipating the swing of the massive post.

"I promise I'll try and fix it after this is over." She said, kind of now worrying of the conscience of his own stupid actions to keep himself safe. But when he thought about it, keeping safe was something one would always do.

Keeping an eye on his movements, he choose to do the best thing possible. Swing it around and around and fast as he could. So turning on his heels he started, moving the giant piece of like like it was lighter than air.

Around and around he went, trying his best to not get too dizzy so soon, otherwise this could be over sooner rather than later.

     Yeaaah, not happening.

Gaius wasn't about to take his chances with that. One hit and he'd either be flung really far out to sea or break a lot of bones, and neither option seemed very appealing. He tucked into a roll as soon as he realized that Finnian was just going to keep swinging, and he didn't come out of it until he was well at the other side of the deck, just out of range.

He frowned as he watched the boy, thrusting his blade back into its sheath. Crude tactic, but effective, he decided. He'd just have to come back to it, or let someone else handle Strongarms. Besides, things seemed to be getting shiny out there on the beach.

So long as Finnian kept moving, maybe he'd think he'd hit the thief if Gaius slipped away. The thief jumped up onto the railing again, and then after a quick glance below, dropped on down, grasping hold of the rope to one of the life boats. Barring any interruptions, he'd make way for the beach to see how Mana and Alice were handling their fight.

((OOC: Hope you don't mind, and that it wasn't so abrupt? I wanted to try making this work out into Mana and Alice's fight thread up there since I'd had Gaius slip in when I thought I wasn't going to get tags on this end. -although thank you for hopping in. :D))
