Another disturbing development was the lack of food being prepared on board. Lenalee had become lackadaisical in her duties and they were suffering for it. This change in behavior, could be indication that Elissa was not the only one affected by this curse of the witch.
Vowing to take a more direct approach he was headed to Elissa's lodgings.. so he could rip the damn door off it's hinges...(Figured I might as well put this here instead of putting it in the penpal thread XD)]

Taking in a breath, he exerted a great amount of force on the wooden structure. The hinges were pulled cleanly off the frame, the door was first drawn toward his person then cast aside.
“I told you I was coming...” He called, gazing into the room, eager to catch a glimpse of Elissa. “So don’t start complaining about the damage...”

Admittedly, there was a very crude and make-shift, Medieval sort of chemistry set-up at the very back of the cabin near the tiny, opened porthole, but the very first thing Ban would probably notice is the fact that Elissa is absolutely naked. And that he had obviously disturbed her while she was trying to bathe as much as could be done aboard an 18th century ship.
(C. That's the letter you are searching for, Ban. C.)

"Eli.......ssa?" The conviction instantly drained from his voice. His purpose for being there was temporarily lost in the visual overload. Standing there, it was as if his mind had completely shut off. It was another few moments before the receptors started firing enough for him to at least think of looking away. He'd been warned that this may happen but the scenario had seen so ridiculous and unlikely that he'd completely thrown out the possibility.
"Wow.. you're well-developed..." Probably not what Elissa wanted to hear or the most appropriate thing to say at the time. For someone that could usually assess a women's measurements on sight.. he'd somehow missed noticing hers before. So much for that one-of-the-guys statement from earlier.
Finally out of his stupor he recoiled, and took a few paces back, nearly stumbling over backwards in his haste. He looked toward the side of the ship, and tried to say anything that might remotely justify this. It was accompanied by nervous laughter. "So... this is what you meant by being busy?" Cough. "With.. uh.. nonsense going on... I was kinda.. you know... concerned about you...?"

It was spoken with the sort of quiet calm that only the very angry could manage, each syllable distinctly enunciated. The fact that she was livid was only given away by the redness that was growing in her face and the slight quiver of the hand that was clenching the wash cloth so tightly that every last drop of moisture in it was dribbling to the floor.
"PUT IT BACK!" Elissa screamed at him in a fury. It could've been a war cry that would've done Loghain or Alistair proud.

"I would but... it's broke-"
At that moment, her voice boomed. If he needed anymore encouragement, that was it! Fumbling with the door, he dropped it a few times in his haste. He placed it back against the frame, but it fell forwards into the room. With his eyes screwed shut, he kneeled down and felt around for the wooden surface. Finding it.. he pulled it back up into place, and just stayed put to hold it there. In the first time in what felt like forever he exhaled deeply.
He still... wasn't out of danger yet. Stuck here holding the damn thing up... meant that he couldn't flee the scene. There must be some way to prop it up.

Really quiet.
Eerily quiet.
Finally, a too-sweet voice called, "Ban? Do you have your very own cabin?"

He couldn't even pick up on the sound of dripping water, or.... knives being sharpened.
Truly, he wanted to blow this Popsicle stand and go hide in his room.
Then she spoke and broke the silence.
Truly, he wanted to leave this place and go hide in someone else's room or the hold....... or inside a barrel.... Oh better! Clinging to a chain dangling off of the side of the ship! She'd never look for him there!
"... Did you say something Elissa?"... He pretended to hear something else. "Oh! You want some hot tea, a fresh blanket and a five course meal?" There was a second pause. "DONE". He was.... trying to bribe her or something.

"A DOOR!"
"..."
"But you do not DARE release that one. Do you hear me?"
"DO. YOU. HEAR. ME?!"
no subject
No such luck, huh?
"I hear you.." He mumbled a bit. It's not like he was going to just go off and leave her doorless. If anyone else caught sight of what he just saw.. then she'd do a lot worse then murder him in his sleep....
"I HEAR YOU!"

"What in the Maker's name made you do this?" she snapped at him once she could see him. She was dressed over her damp body, if you could call it that, in a simple tunic that hung just past the tops of her thighs. It was enough to preserve her modesty, however.
"Did you forget how to knock? What is wrong with you?"
If Ban could actually manage to get his eyes up to her face, he would notice Elissa had circles under her eyes and looked very tired beneath that bubbling anger at his intrusion.

“You were acting so strange!” He raised his own voice, but not quite to the levels she’d obtained. The ensemble she’d thrown together unfortunately highlighting her still fairly exposed legs. They were toned, probably from all the combat training, and physical activity... and... wait.. look up.
“.. But.. you see... if I knocked.. “ Then you’d know I was here, and you’d be prepared for it. If you are a psycho right now, you’d hide evidence. Yeah, he couldn’t say that. “So I’m a little impulsive, and my imagination ran away with me. I just wanted to know if you were alright...”.
This time he tried to survey both her and the room for clues. He needed to remember why he was here and not let this opportunity go to waste.

Elissa, still angry at him and angrier yet that he seemed so nosy about her private space, reached out in an attempt to punch Ban in his nearest shoulder. "Stop it! If you'd knocked, I could have finished washing and actually dressed myself. AUGH! Go. Now. Bring tools and the hinges from your own door."
"DO IT NOW!"

He didn't moved away as she struck him. If he had.. than the loose door probably would have landed directly on her and he would have ended up in even more trouble! "Ow-! I probably deserved that." And I probably shouldn't have said probably in that sentence. "Yeah- in hindsight that would have been the more logical thing to do.... but you know.. you don't have anything to feel embarrassed about."
"My door..?" What? But mine is fully functioning why would I ruin my own door? Maybe he could swipe someone else's door.
.. But she'd figure it out.....
.......................................................
"I'm going, I'm going!" Propping the loose door against the wall, he took off in a hurry to gather the supplies.

Elissa growled and rubbed her hands over her face and neck and tried to calm her breathing. Her gaze fell to the basin on the floor and the dribbled water and she scowled all over again. She collected the dropped cloth she'd used for washing and wet it again in the water. As Ban hopefully ran about to fulfill her order, she perched herself on the crate and began washing down her right leg toward her foot.

As he went about gathering the materials, he could only imagine how her temper might be simmering in his absence. The longer it took the more he thought that he was running the risk of having to face more of her wrath.
So... he tried to move quickly and efficiently but you know what they say about haste. It can make waste, or at least cause you to make some dumb mistakes that delay your progress along the way. When he returned with the tools... he tried to get started, working as silently as possible as not to try attention to himself.. but how could he not?

If she told him about that little issue, he would think her mad - and she was beginning to wonder if she wasn't.
