Harbinger of death from the world of witchcraft

"More or less."

Gakupo was surprised at the question coming up so quickly, but gives a wry smile. "An idol, of course~!" And now that smile is a bright grin. "We have to watch what we eat, you know!"

No, Gakupo, that isn't what he asked...

"I don't think just eating eggplants is probably very healthy... don't you need lots of different kinds of nutrients to live?"

Aside from the question of how to get the poison into this stranger, now Aiichiro is just flat out confused and maybe a little skeptical.

"Besides, if you're going to be on the ship, you can't just not eat if we don't have eggplants! Won't you starve to death?"

"Define nutrients..." He has a differing thought on them. Isn't a lithium ion battery good enough?

"I can run for about sixty-nine hours without charging, and a full week if I go into sleep mode. So I doubt I'll starve to death." Gakupo crosses his arms. "Are you saying you don't have eggplants?"

He needs to know this so in case he needs to invest in some.

"Um, not that I know of?"

He's never had reason to think about having eggplants, okay? "I could get some though! I'm sorry for not having what you need!"

Never mind that it's neither really his job nor his fault. Nor that he's trying to poison the person. "Are you... saying you're a robot? Or something? But then why eggplants?"

"There's really no need to go through all that trouble just yet, and you certainly don't need to apologize! I can pretty suddenly, anyway."

He'll be expecting eggplants, though.

"An android, to be precise. As for why eggplants, well...it's a secret~!"

He has no clue why eggplants either, though, so it has to be a secret! Even from himself!

Aiichiro just shakes his head, because he really does intend to carry through on his promise. That's right; he'll get some eggplants. And then poison those. Or he'll see if the android can swim, maybe? That's an idea.

"An android! A real one? That's... that's really amazing." Aiichiro bounces a little, obviously excited by this development. "What kinds of amazing android things can you do? Are you really smart? Super strong? Do you have to worry about sinking?"

Those were a lot of questions, but the last one makes him blink. Gakupo taps his chin thoughtfully.

"I never did before, but I wasn't on a ship before. So I'm not sure..." Gakupo then folds his arms, looking more confident about the other questions. "I'm mostly built for singing, but I am stronger than most humans. Since I'm a living computer, I guess I'm smart, but I'm not really sure of how information I was programmed with."

There are a lot of hidden files.

"..."

Aiichiro has no idea what to say to this. "An android built for singing?"

Somehow, it's not what he'd think to make an android for. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it just seems a little... not what he'd expected. He supposes it explains the appearance, but still.

He shrugs his shoulders, smiles anyway. "You can entertain us on the ship sometime then, right? That'd make me really happy! I bet everyone would enjoy it! Even Rin-senpai, though he might not say so." Okay, he's guaranteed to act like a crabass about it, but that's just how Rin is.

"You should probably be really careful though! Or maybe experiment with floating sometime in shallow water?"

"Yes, that's correct. It's quite common place back home." It's all the rage!

Gakupo looks at the other skeptically. "That sounds like it'll get my hair in a mess. I'll pass." He's no mermaid, and seaweed only looks good with rice, not hair. "But I'll definitely entertain you all whenever you'd like!"

"If you're worried about getting messy, how do you plan to help out around the ship?"

It's not that Aiichiro minds, but it just seems like a really silly thing to think about on the open ocean. It's so silly it distracts him from thinking about how to kill the android.

"By being careful, of course! Oh, and not submerging myself beneath water. It seems silly. I'd do better on the ship, don't you think?"

Gakupo has this all planned out, obviously! Even though he's making this up as he goes.

"You should be very careful then."

He nods seriously. "It's a scary world, you know." Then he pauses, and because there's really nothing he can do about the 'how to kill this person' thing yet, he sets it aside for a moment.

"It's really fun sometimes too though. I got to ride a unicorn!"

"I'm starting to get that idea." Things definitely seemed more dangerous than modern day Japan, in his opinion.

Gakupo blinks the the statement. Riding a unicorn? Color him surprised! "You mean...like on a merry-go-round?"

"No, a real unicorn!"

Aiichiro bounces up on his heels a little. "It was really pretty! He didn't like Rin-senpai though. Because Rin-senpai was being all grumpy."

He pauses, and then adds. "But it was really nice and even helped me carry him back to the ship after his stormcloud zapped him for being grumpy!"

Sorry, Gakupo still looks pretty disbelieving. Unicorns? That's not real!

"Are you taking any medication?" Or even recreational medication...

"Medication?"

Aiichiro blinks, not making the connection right away.

"Oh, no, I'm not on any medication! I'm very healthy. I have to be, because I'm an athlete you see!"

He puffs out his chest a little, obviously pleased with himself, and then catches on too late and wilts a little. "Oh, you mean like... that kind of..."

At first, Gakupo looks at him as if he missed the point completely. Which he did. When he finally gets the point, Gakupo nods in confirmation.

"Or maybe you've been swimming in odd waters..."

"I'm not crazy!"

Aiichiro is rather annoyed, perhaps more so because he does have voices going in his head right now. It's not a good thing, and he's not happy about it, but he knows that he didn't imagine the unicorn, or that lovely island, or his turkey falling in love with a magical bird.

"You can ask anyone! We were on an island called Phantasia, and it was beautiful, and there were all kinds of magical things!"

Now he definitely thinks this person is on drugs. Will he tell him there were magic brooms, too? Dancing mops?

"Whom should I ask, then?"

"Anyone could tell you! The captain, or Mitsuhide-san! Or Rin-senpai... well, no, Rin-senpai didn't enjoy it much, so maybe you shouldn't ask him but..."

He's caught between being annoyed and embarrassed, with that.

"But it really did happen!"

Even Mitsuhide had seen one? This made Gakupo blink in surprise.

"Then I will most definitely inquire about this." He now needs to know!

Aiichiro gives a little nod, somewhat mollified. Then he pauses.

"Well, I'm not sure about the unicorn, but they were on the island. I'm sure they saw a lot of amazing things. It's a very interesting place. Maybe we could go back someday and you could see it too!"

There's another little pause, and then a glance to the side. "Well, maybe anyway."

He's just remembered that everyone is going to be dead by then. But it's not like he can say that.

Did he see it or not? Gakupo doesn't know what to believe anymore.

"I do hope to see this place. It seems something from a children's television show!"

"It was... kind of like that I guess."

Aiichiro blushes, because honestly he'd enjoyed it quite a bit. Did that make him a child?

"It was a really nice place. I want to go back, but I want to see new places too. I wish we could-"

He pauses, because he was about to say something that revealed a little too much of his thoughts. "I wish we could see all the islands."
