[SUDDEN LITTLE GIRL?! Man talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. It's like he's a magnet for trouble or something...

(ha ha ha)

Once his initial shock wears off (because seriously why is there a little girl on the ship) he does smile at her though. Oh Tager, if you only knew what's in store...]

Hello, little girl. Are you a member of this crew?

[It's certainly possible, he supposes. If this place could bring all sorts of people here, what's to say a little girl couldn't be brought here? And leaving her alone on the island would be a poor idea.]

I'm not a little girl, I'm Hajime! Nice ta meetcha!

[Hajime holds her hand out (Well, up. It's a long way to stretch.) She couldn't get Ragrumpy to shake her hand back on the Santa boat, but his friend seems so much nicer!]

I'm the Ship's Decorator and Chief Morale Officer!

[Self-proclaimed, but no one's told her not to introduce herself like that. Not that she's ever done it within earshot of the captain or first mate. Mitsuhide might protest it a bit.]

[Tager does indeed bring his hand out for her to shake, but thanks to the largeness of his hands she'd probably just be able to grab a hold of one or two of his fingers and shake them.]

It's nice to meet you as well, Hajime. My name is Tager. I must say, you've done an excellent job of decorating the ship. It's certainly homely.

[Of course, it's not like he's ever been on a ship like this one before. It's old, even by 21st century standards. As such, the only things he's seen even remotely close to this are his ships in a bottle.]

Thanks! It's my third boat, so I've got lots of practice by now! I guess it's your first boat, huh? It's a good thing you waited until we got a bigger boat, because I'm not sure you would've fit on the old one!

[Hajime walks all the way around Tager, craning her neck and trying to get a better look at him.]

You must bump your head on lots of stuff!

[Wow. This girl sure does have a lot of energy...]

Not necessarily, although I do have to crouch down a lot. You get used to it after a while, however.

I'm never gonna get to.

[She spins around.]

I'm seventeen, so I'm gonna be down here forever! Well, unless I get a ladder.

[Maybe she should get a ladder.]

How're you gonna fit places below decks?

[...]

That...is a very good question, actually. One I'm not sure I have an answer to. Is it particularly cramped down there?

It really is, especially since that's were me and Ai keep all our stuff! The old boat was even more cramped and I don't think you would have fit on that one at all. Hmmmmm, maybe we could widen some stuff...I should probably talk to the guys at the docks and see if I can get in some carpentry lessons.

[She taps her finger on her chin, considering the Koumyou's layout and how best to house a ginormous robot guy.]

Will you rust if you stay on deck and it rains?

It would be appreciated, thank you.

[He doesn't want to put anyone out, but at the same time he doesn't feel like having his systems fried. A dry place where he can do his repairs and maintenance would be preferable.]

Doubtful. My body was designed to be able to function in a wide variety of environments, including extremely wet ones, but a dry place to work would still be necessary.

So can you swim or will you sink?

[Important questions. After all, if he's going to sink like a rock if he falls overboard, she can't build anything for him near a rail. And maybe they should reinforce some of the rails in case the ship tips to the side and he goes CRASH! through one of them.]

[personal profile] 360grabit 2014-02-08 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I...would probably sink.

[Man why did it have to be a ship. Especially one with friggin' salt water of all things.]

We're gonna have to Tager-proof that boat, then! You're a robot, right? So you should install a life raft or something so you don't sink into the ocean! It could go POP! like a parachute!

[So her knowledge of robots mostly comes from children's cartoons, but it sounds like a perfectly valid idea to her.]
