[The others have seen it, so he hands over the normal journal he's been writing in -- turned to one page and keeping his hand on it so she can see but not look through.
It's a tally of sums, and the grand total keeps decreasing.]
We're losing money quickly, and none of us have been bringing in much.
Which is why -- once this insanity goes away -- we're going to be attempting a host club, catering to natives with a taste for the exotic.
[If he could make money off it in high school, he can make money off it here. It's something he knows their skills work for and he can turn to a profit.]

Her debt is growing.]
Is…there anything I can do? I mean, besides… [The Host Club.] I'm not sure what I can do...

Well, he probably could, but he isn't going to do it. Not yet, at least.] And I need help cooking. My abilities are... lackluster, which is being quite kind.

[Kyouya has many skills... cooking is not one of them.]

[Simple, short, but there's a command.]
It's not safe after dark. I'll give you a tour of the ship within the next couple of days, but you're not going to wander down to the dock alone at this hour.
[Not with people going crazy on one another now.]

Is it really that bad? …wow.
[Pausing, she considers the implications.]
I wonder if I should learn a way to defend myself.

I don't intend to go anywhere without this.
no subject
What if you accidentally use that on someone you know?
no subject
[Simple and straightforward.]
I don't intend to hurt anyone unless they present themselves as a threat.

I hate that things have come to that. [Awkwardly, she rubs over her arm.] I'll do what I can to protect everyone too.

[It isn't something he ever wanted to say, but it's necessary now. There have been too many harrowing comments over the journal. Too much risk of lethal force being needed.]

[The idea of killing is... unsettling at the very least. And yet, to protect this strange little group of theirs? He'd do it without hesitation and without remorse.]

I promise.

We have to part ways eventually, and... I think he'll be alright. He's not the same Tamaki I met years ago.
He'll manage. When he has to.

[It's inevitable. A fact he's already accepted and is preparing himself for. The bonds that tie them now...
He's already felt them slip. And one day, they'll come undone entirely. He'll be ready when it comes.]
And he'll do fine without me. As long as he's not alone.
