ETA: With regards to Dog's suggestion of the coral, the evening of the 12th will be used to arrange the next week's rotation for keeping Tamaki company and checking the beaches for coral.)

[Tamaki acknowledged the distance. It was perhaps for the best that Hikaru was cautious. However, even with the distance, Tamaki was still very happy that Hikaru was here.]

...I don't know how, but these people who are possessed will do everything and anything to kill the new arrivals, and in this case, that's you and Haruhi!

[Specifically the new arrivals? Well, that explains why everyone was so desperate to get him inside.]

Will being in here really stop them, though...? [He asks it quietly, with no trace of his usual light-hearted manner. He's concerned - what if someone does come in here to kill he or Haruhi, and everyone else gets hurt? More than that, what if someone comes in here and succeeds in their murder quest?]

[Upon hearing that question, Tamaki's smile completely faded away. Before, all he had to do was snap his finger, and Kyouya was there to give an adequate solution. But having Kyouya kill their enemies with his own hands was not an option Tamaki was willing to take.]

...but I have no intention of allowing them to harm Haruhi and you. I don't know how, but if I have to I'll willingly risk my life for the two of you.

Despite how taken aback he is, he covers it up quickly. If Tamaki's going to be so oddly serious, then it's up to him to lighten the mood a bit.]

Yeah, well, as if anyone would even try to get us when we're all together like this, right?

[He doesn't actually believe it, but it's weird for him to see Tamaki like this. At the moment, he'll say almost anything if he thinks it'll get him to cheer up.]

[There was sense in what Hikaru was saying. He always had a way with words which Tamaki seemed to agree most of the time with.]

[He shifts uncomfortably. He really doesn't like the theme of this conversation, or this uncommon melancholy. It's fine to have this sort of conversation with the others - but with Tamaki, it's just wrong. This guy was too pure to be having this discussion. He honestly regrets bringing it up.]

[And that's the end of it, for him. He quickly changes the subject, not caring how obviously abrupt it is. He just wants to stop talking about murders, dying, and sacrifices with Tamaki. Leave that sort of morbid talk to Kyouya, or Nekozawa or something.]

[With that he tried to dismiss all the sad emotions. After all, he didn't want to make Hikaru anymore uncomfortable than he already is. So he just laughs it off and grins at Hikaru.]

You mean aside from eating Vermin?

[He grins at that. Yes, good, something more light-hearted - he shoves aside as much of his worries as he can. He'll talk to Kaoru about them all later, to sort them out.]

Has Kyouya-senpai really been doing the cooking?
