[He gives a slight grin, unable to help it.]
Back to having more money than we could ever spend.

Setting the carriage on its tracks again.

For the time being.
We both know it has to stop eventually.

Of course. Spells don't last forever.
Though apparently we've hit a pause button of sorts, with this place.

[There've been too many conversations. Too much edging around things. Perhaps for Kaoru, it's a pause. For Kyouya... he's afraid it's only speeding things along.]
We'll manage. When the time comes.

That's the point, right? That 'we' won't really last?

[He pauses for a moment, turning over a piece of coral in his hand.]
It'll be as much of a shock to them. When they see it, too. Eventually they will. You and I know it's coming, at least.

... for all of them, I mean. Some of them... it might not... the spell might not break for them. ((He's thinking of Hikaru and Haruhi, though it may or may not be clear to Kyouya.))

[He stands and walks over to the bucket, dropping the piece of coral in the bucket.]
It's part of growing up. Sooner or later, they'll realize.
[He shakes his head a bit.]
Unfortunately.

Maybe that's "happily ever after."
[Hikaru. Tamaki. Haruhi.
Whoever the spell is for, whoever it binds. As long as that holds true, as long as it is happiness... and safety.
There's one fact. One thing he cannot escape.]
We can only do so much. The rest is up to them.

[On this issue, at least, he and Kaoru are the ones to best understand themselves and each other. They share some striking similarities, one thing Kyouya has been watching as they've known each other.
One of many things that sets the twins apart. Haruhi phrased it poorly, but her basic point was right. The two were different, past the surface. If Tamaki ever really tried, he'd see it, too. ...Or maybe he just saw people in too good a light.
He'd called him 'warm,' after all.]
Or maybe we'll all end up outside the fairy tale.
