I shouldn't think it would be safe at all, up in the sky like that. I'd fear falling off the edge more than anything else.

I think there was some kind of enchantment around but I didn't really want to test that. *Adol continues with his story, which consists of going through any number of landscapes packed onto the floating land, about the size of a kingdom which include -- a snowy glacier, a lava land and a vast palace of where the ancient Ys people lived, but now it was overrun by monsters.* Then with the help of all the friends I'd made, I made it to the center of Ys and it was...just strange.

Oh, now you begin to think things strange! I suppose the rest was quite normal for you.

[Really, with the flying and the land floating in the sky and whatnot.]

*Adol laughs a little, at the comment and because of the alcohol Motochika made him drink.*

I guess even stranger than a floating land. In the center of it was just...metal and things glowing on the walls. You could also touch a certain point and it connected back on Esteria inside a deep mine, which was where the thing behind all the attacks was hiding.

With the help of the goddesses, I finally defeated the evil and the magic was destroyed. Because of that, Ys floated back down to earth and fit right back where it came from.

It fit right back? After how many years? This story becomes more and more farfetched as you tell it! Surely something must have filled in the space!

It was a giant crater in the ground. No one really wanted to go near it, plus the Tower of Darm stood right on the edge.

Still, rain falls and plants grow and rocks fall to dust.

[Considering how many of his own stories he makes up entirely, it's kind of ironic that Motochika is playing the critic at this point.]

I'm not sure. Maybe it wasn't a perfect fit but it didn't cause a lot of damage when it landed softly in the spot where it came from. And those are my adventures in the land of Ys.

Quite the tale, Adol! I'm impressed! Work out the details a bit and there's no one you won't be able to put in awe with that one.

[It doesn't seem to have registered with him that it's true, which says a lot about the stories Motochika himself tells.]

*Well, Adol is aware of lots of the fantastic bits, so he's not too hurt.* Probably not as good as some of your tales, Captain.

Of course not, but there's no shame in that. Not everyone can be master storyteller like yours truly.
