Time for some bonding!

Where: At sea -> Port Chance
When: After leaving the fortress and covering the month of February
What: Catch-all log
Warnings: The usual grumpy, dumb, awkward and maybe some spooooooooky ghost stories
Style: Any
Status: Closed to crew and anyone that may be in the Port Chance area

Itinerary

- Visiting Port Chance, finding all their booze, and drinking it
- The subsequent drunken crew bonding time

So it has an advantage in that it's easier to learn but because it's so rare, if you lose the gun, it would probably be hard to find another one.

I'll stick with a sword but I don't doubt that your gun does everything you say it does. *Because no one would carry a weapon like that around if they weren't good with it.*

I suppose that's the case, but it's never been a problem for me. The Saika keep themselves well-stocked. [Hooray for throwing guns away with impunity.]

Would you like to try it some time? Not right now, of course, and I have no intent of dissuading you from swordsmanship, but it would not be a difficult skill to pick up, should you ever need it.

If there's somewhere safe when we land to practice, sure. I wouldn't mind learning how to use another weapon.
