That's one way to do it. [Not his first choice, but it works for Yuuki.] What did you get?

Everyone I believe got some form of spade. Mine's on my chest. It came out nice, I think. It wasn't too terrible, but then again I heal really quickly.

[Aya nods. It's an appropriate tattoo to have, but not one that he would get.]

Who else got one?

I don't really know, it was just me when I went there, but I believe Thatch was taking care of others before me.

How do you like this island?

[Thatch probably had other tattoos to do, probably. Doubtful Yuuki would be the only one.]

A waste of time. [He's not a party person, so he'd rather be on a different island, actually doing something worth while.] You?

It's loud and tiresome, but I suppose it's not the worst place.

[He sets down the mop and makes himself comfortable, leaning against the hallway wall and slides down to take a seat.]

Right, he had to be invited to his room. "Come in." Leaving his friend to sit on the floor wouldn't be right when he could just sin in here with him.

Natsuno doesn't really mind, after all it comes with the territory, but with the words spoken he's gained access to a second room down there. He gets up and crosses the threshold.

"Thanks." He smiles a little bit.

"No problem." It was just silly to be talking from such a far distance. "I wonder how long we're going to be docked here."

"I haven't the faintest idea. It's a peaceful enough place, and I think that's probably what's keeping us here."

Natsuno takes a seat in the room at least.

"After the last events probably everyone is thinking they want a break."

The events they endured were rough, so Aya decided to cut some slack on their latest stop. He could see how wanting to unwind would be a good idea. He nodded in response.

"Why aren't you?"

"How do you mean?" Natsuno blinks.

"I'm having a relaxing enough time, I just don't drink or anything."

"Ah...same here." He could go drinking, but he found that it impairs his ability to react to fights and threw off coordination, so being sober was better for safety reasons. "I like wine better, anyway, but I'm not going to go out of my way to get some."

"You could probably find some. I was too young to drink before and I wasn't the type of person to try and get around the legal drinking age. I've tried it a bit here, but it's an acquired taste, I think."

"I'm not in the mood to drink, really." He'd save such an occasion for a really special time. "Wine can be, yeah, but it also depends on the year, season, country, and process."

"I think it was rum I had the first time, although the last thing I tasted, I don't know what Logan was drinking but it was awful." Natsuno makes a face. He's still young after all.

"I feel like I should have done those things with Tohru but...he wasn't old enough to get it either, so I'm not sure how we would have managed it."

Aya made a face, too. Rum was best with other things. "I wouldn't be surprised if Logan had whiskey. " Or even vodka.

"I'll see if I can find anything decent, but not right now. I doubt this place would have good quality wines." Since the intent was getting people hammered and spend more money.

"Maybe, I don't think he knew what it was, actually."

Natsuno seems a little amused by the thought though. "You could probably ask the merchant at Backwater Brig if there's something you like from home. Granted I've only bought modern clothes from her. You don't have to do it on my account though, I really wasn't that kind of person."

Now though, now he's feeling a bit more free and it's interesting.

"Then again, I feel like I'm changing."

He couldn't say he was surprised or not, since he didn't know what Logan liked to drink.

"That's not a bad idea. That way, I know I'll be able to get something decent."

Aya looked to Yuuki curiously. "Oh? How so?"

"I've come a long way from spending every night studying until my eyes burn to get into university." Natsuno sighs a little bit.

"I haven't decided if that's good or bad yet. Some of it's bad, but I suppose I have good luck coming here."

"At least you got to university." Aya had thought that he would be able to go to university, let alone finish high school like any other normal teenager.

"If you think this is good luck, then you do have it rough back home."

"Not quite. I didn't quite make it to my final year of high school, but I was really focused on cramming for those upcoming exams. I wanted to get into Todai."

Natsuno shrugs a bit. Prior to the summer he wouldn't have thought that way, but here he was his life had been turned upside down.

"Really? Todai?" Aya was surprised to hear that he wanted to get into one of the best schools in Japan. "What did you want to study there?"

Natsuno nodded. He had put a lot of work into it, really, even if he wasn't quite old enough to go.

"I was going to study law, it seemed like a good professional job."

Aya was really impressed. When he was 16, he wasn't very concerned with what he wanted to be. Not yet. Probably was a good thing, in a way. "Did you want to be a lawyer?" Studying law didn't always lead to that path, but it usually did.
