[Log || 002] Setting sail!

Who: Hazardous Materials (plus some Queen's Gambit & Brave Vesperia maybe?)

What: Learning how to sail this thing, meeting each other, prepping for Navy battles!

[FEELS EYES ON HIM.

He pauses in his whacking, steadying the dummy as he throws a look over his shoulder. When he spots Toothless, he's instantly grinning.]

Heeey buddy! Toothless, right? I actually know your name now.

[b2_dragon]

[In turn, Toothless grants the turtle that gummy, silly grin of his. Oh yes, he remembers Raphael, and he's rather pleased that the turtle has befriended his human as well.]

[Peers a little more closely at him.]

Okay, yep, I see it now. You really do retract your teeth. [Points at his own mouth, since he knows Toothless doesn't exactly know what he's saying.] I thought that was kind of a weird name for a dragon, but I guess not.

[Everyone is always so surprised at his teeth! It's kind of funny. The dragon flaps his mouth a few times in a playful jabber.]

[Laughs, walking over to him and holding a hand out so Toothless can see he wants to pet him.]

It's a good thing you're finally back. I thought Hiccup was gonna go nuts.

[b2_dragon]

[More often it's petting and not fish, but nevertheless, the dragon thrusts his snout towards the turtle's hand. He's obviously a lot more comfortable with Raphael now than he'd been when they'd first mt.]

[Still grinning as he pats his snout.]

Dude, you're awesome. Gotta tell you, though, I'm almost a little jealous you've already been on adventure.

[Makes a vague flapping motion with his free arm.]

Did you get to go flying at all?

[He moves his head further so that Raphael can pat the top of it as well. Regarding the funny gesture that the turtle makes, Toothless lifts his wings slightly before he gives what could be taken as a confirming grunt.]

[Does so! Man, he's so cool. And smart!

Raph eyes his wings.]

It's lucky you fit down here, I bet your wingspan gets pretty big.

[b2_dragon]

[The dragon gurgles, his wings pressing back against his body as he knows they have no use in here.]

You'll have to show me later.

[Pulls back, walking backwards towards his punching dummy.]

Wanna see what I was doing?

[b2_dragon]

[The dragon turns about as Raphael walks back to where he was, and he follows along, taking that as an invitation to do so.

He moves closer to the dummy, sniffing at it.]

I use it for practice, see?

[Throws a couple of slow punches at it.]

I'm a martial artist, so sometimes it's good to have something you can really hit even when you're just training.

[Pivots around, delivering a high kick to the thing's chest.]

[When Raphael moves to hit the thing, Toothless draws back with a surprised grunt. He sidles back to give the turtle some room as he continues to watch. This guy can hit pretty hard. Kind of like Astrid!]

Vikings are supposed to be heavy hitters, right?

[Clocks the dummy in the head again with his fist. He pulls back with a laugh.]

Hiccup doesn't really look like it, though.

[He gestures at the dummy.]

I'd give you a shot, but you might just shoot fire at it or something. Hiccup said you could do that.

[b2_dragon]

[Oh, just about everyone in Berk is a heavy hitter except Hiccup. Toothless glances at the dummy again at Raphael's gesture. Ooh, can he hit it too?

It seems kind of strange to him, but the dragon eases closer to the thing before lifting a claw to bat at it in testing.]

[Grin!! He wasn't expecting Toothless to actually go for it.]

There you go! Uh, as long as you don't accidentally shred it or something.

[He gives it another punch, then gestures for Toothless again.]

[b2_dragon]

[He doesn't particularly use his claws in such a way, but with Raphael's invitation to take another whack at it, the dragon does so, turning to give it a nice whack with his tail.]

[That has the dummy swaying, and Raph reaches out to steady it with a laugh, before spinning around and giving it another kick of his own.]

I could totally train you to be a ninja dragon, dude. That would be so cool.

[b2_dragon]

[Sidling back as Raphael kicks it, Toothless sits, appearing to be enjoying himself. He has no idea what turtle-man is saying, but he seems pleased too at least!]

[Sweet, an audience. Audiences are fun.]

Hey, check this out.

[He takes several long steps back from the dummy, giving him enough space to get a running start, then he takes off in a dash and does some complex maneuver that involves diving toward the ground, pushing off with one hand, flipping in the air, and then coming out of his tuck with his leg extended, twisting around to kick the dummy hard in the side of its neck.

He lands on his opposite leg, wobbling for a moment, but his stance holds and he drops his other leg before straightening up.]

Cool, huh?

[It was probably more showy than practical, but Toothless seems impressed. He gives a bark-like growl in approval.]

[Way more showy. He grins nonetheless, slapping the dummy on the back.]

This poor guy gets beat up all the time. How about we give him a break and go get a snack?

[Juts his thumb over his shoulder toward the hatch that leads back to the deck.]

[Looks like a good idea to him. Toothless doesn't much care for staying below deck a whole lot. He starts in that direction, a glance cast over his shoulder as though to make sure Raphael was following.]

[He's following! Right behind you, Toothless. Maybe there's some leftover pizza they can snag.]
