[Log || 002] Setting sail!

[He pulls the lollipop from his mouth.]

Eh, I'm from a country called Ylisse, which of course isn't anywhere around here. Back home, I've pretty much been hired on with a group called the Shepherds, headed by Ylisse's Exalt himself. Peace-keeping around the land, that sorta thing. Kind of a big step up from the usual occupation.

[There's a bit of a smirk at that.]

-that'd be "acquiring" things. Like this ship, for one.

[He pats the rail with a grin, sticking his sucker back into his mouth.]

Guess I still did that over there too, although mostly information.

Ohh, you're the guy who stole the ship! Heh! Nice work, I can appreciate a guy who knows his way around procuring other people's supplies.

A spy, too, huh? Sounds like you're the man with the skills.

Well, had some help from Raphael.

[Still, he's proud of the accomplishment.]

Something like. Whether it's info, objects or a lock you want opened, I'm your guy. Also bake a pretty good pie, if I do say so myself.

Now, I like the sound of that. [lock-picking and pies both!] Never know when you're gonna need somebody to slip behind enemy lines, open a prison door, and celebrate with pie later.

[Smiling around the stick of his sweet, he holds out a hand to the jingly-man.]

[what is he supposed to do with that? Gan Ning eyes the hand for a moment before realizing he's expected to clasp it. Huh.]

Gan Ning. If I like you, I'll let you call me Xingba.

[It's only a moment after he starts to feel a little awkward holding his hand out that the gesture us finally reciprocated. There you go. Gaius gives it a brief shake before letting go.]
