[Log || 004] Empieza and Aeolipile
Who: Hazardous Materials
Where: Isla Empieza first, then sailing to Aeolipile Isle!
When: 4/1 - 4/28
What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.
Warnings: DRAGON!!! But no, nothing really. Probably.
Style: Any!
Status: Open if you're on Isla Empieza and want to hang out!

4/11-4/15: Sailing to Aeolipile!
4/16-4/28: Aeolipile craziness.

[He folds his arms over the edge, smirking a bit.]

[Grunts as he pushes himself up to check again, because it would kind of suck a lot if suddenly they were being ambushed or something. Hurray for the spyglass they totally picked when they were at Empieza this time around.]

Oh yeah, I wanted to check if you needed any weapons sharpened or something since I was going to work on mine.

[Thinks, then reaches over his shoulder to grab one of his sai so he can look at it.]
Guess that wouldn't be a bad idea. You don't mind?

[He eyes the pronged weapon as he reaches over for it to get a better look.]
...although now that I look at it, I don't know that you'd sharpen this kind of weapon. It's kind of an interesting technique you use, from what I've seen.

Heh, well what do you want me to say? But I haven't seen anyone using weapons like these before.

[Crosses his arms, leaning back again and watching Gaius examine them.]

[He tries to figure out how you'd hold something like these. Raph was holding it like this earlier, right...?]

Splinter actually had us all switch weapons one time. ...It didn't go so well.

Oh yeah? I guess being versatile in weaponry's not a bad thing, but you can't expect to master it in one lesson.

Fair enough.
[Then he scratches the back of his head.]
That actually wasn't the point of the lesson, believe it or not. He thought we were getting too, uh...complacent. And dependent on the weapons we were used to. [Rolls his eyes a little.] We were getting cocky, basically. But every time that happens, the bad guys up their game and we're knocked down a peg or two. Keeps us on our toes, though.
