What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.
Warnings: DRAGON!!! But no, nothing really. Probably.

The fight happened in another dimension. To appease the creature, it had to be caught. But one man...he was the leader of that organizations, he was left behind.

I'm a champion! My job is to protect everyone. So why couldn't I bring him back? He was evil yes, but no one deserved that kind of fate.

Eh, it's just a name. It means we ain't doin' what the law wants us to do. 'Course, we don't know what they want, but if taking to the sea and looking for whatever will get us all home makes us pirates, then that's what we are.

I can't even fight. I can't hurt people, I can't kill people and I sure as hell can't carry a weapon. Gaius told me about that navy attack you guys had and it made me realize that I've never fought a day in my life. Usually that was my pokemon's job.

...look, I ain't gonna lie. The sea is rough. Yeah, the Navy attack was hard. I let them capture me in order to get the crew away safely, and then they had to come and break me out. [gruffly, and seriously now] They're not gonna go any easier on us from here on out, probably the opposite. So if combat ain't your thing, you gotta find a way to stay safe.

[he won't say it to her face, but he doesn't want liabilities in the crew. But Cynthia is part of their crew now, so she gets protection the same as everyone else, combat-ready or not]

[She doesn't even wait for him to follow her after she says that. Cynthia just heads over to the door of the women's cabin (aka her personal bedroom) and opens it gently. Inside were her pokemon, in different corners of the room, all out of their pokeballs and sleeping on makeshift beds.]

They are the reason why I survived in that cave for so long. So I need to be assured that no matter what happens, they'll stay safe.

[he follows and leans on the door jamb to have a look. Whoa.]

And they fight for you?

[She didn't want to answer that. Saying yes would make it sound like she trained them to do things for her. Which wasn't true. They're her team, they don;t just fight for her. So instead she points at garchomp, her long time partner.]

That one can summon meteors, earthquakes and fireballs. She can also fly but for some odd reason she can't fly from one island to another.

I'd say that's pretty useful. Just, uh, no fireballs on the ship. [ooo pretty, though] Huh. Well, at least you're on a ship now, so that should help.

[he leans against the wall just outside the door, then] I'd say that's something. They're not helpless, so that means you aren't, either.

Yes, I do thank you guys for saving this poor old sea witch before she got burned at the stake or worse.

[She chuckles, then points to Milotic.]

That one can summon waves and blizzards. Also a very good deep sea diver since she's the one I take with me whenever I hunt down underwater caves.

Psh, you don't look like a sea witch to me. [oh no the grin is back]

Huh. Waves might be useful. That's incredible, I've never seen animals that can do sorcery.

[Then she points to Spiritomb, or rather, the rock holding Spiritomb.]

That rock carries a hundred and eight souls that were sealed away for causing too much mischief. At some point she was out to avenge the souls that made up her entire being. But now she just pulls pranks and freaks out strangers. She can also put people into a deep sleep and mentally torment them through their dreams. I'd show you a demo, but I'm pretty sure the guys wouldn't appreciate their dreams being invaded on my first day here.

A hundred and eight souls, huh? Sounds like a legend.

Yeah, uh. Now that you mention it, I really don't want anybody tormenting me in my dreams, thanks. Appreciate that.

I can't make any promises. But I can assure you there won't be any dream invading unless I tell her to do it.

[She points to Gastrodon, then to Togekiss.]

Poisonous sludge bombs, thunder claps that could induce paralysis aaand...

[pointing to Lucario.]

...that one's my baby boy. He's very VERY good with hand to hand, or rather, hand to paw combat. Quick on his feet, and has the ability to read auras and use waves of psychic energy against someone.

[he's never heard of anything like this before. This is way better than just training tigers to attack people like the Nanman do.]

Remind me not to get on any of their bad sides.

[That was part joke and part threat. Cynthia wasn't the type to actually threaten people. But Gaius had told her that this man was an actual pirate. So she found it a bit hard to trust him]
