INTRO LOG: APRIL 2014

WELCOME NEW CHARACTERS!
Have an intro log for the month of April!

Who: Any and all new characters, as well as anyone hanging out on or around Isla Empieza!
Where: Near the fountain in the town center.
When: New characters will arrive around April 9th! The log is good for as long as you need it.
What: You've just been dropped on your head in a weird new world. Time to figure out what the heck is going on!
Status: VERY OPEN.

The day begins gray and drizzly, the miserable sort of rain that just makes everything muddy and unpleasant. Just the luck of the locals of Isla Empieza that these April showers bring more outsiders instead of May flowers. As the day goes by, the rain gets heavier and the locals get surlier. Lucky for you you have that message in your journals telling you to get moving and find a crew, huh?

Feel free to throw your characters here if you need a place for them to get situated and start figuring things out! Start new threads, tag into others, meet the people who might just become part of your crew! Older characters will be in and out, too, depending who is on the island at the current time.

[Coby stared at Kuzan, somewhat in awe. Despite not remembering his name, Kuzan still remembered him as a person--which was a hundred times more than he expected or even thought reasonable from such an influential and important person. He nearly fell off of his spot on the fountain, though the umbrella began shaking a little bit as he felt he'd nearly crush it in his hand.]

Coby! It's Coby, sir! It's a pleasure to meet you again!

[Shame be damned, after all.]

A-anyway, sir, that's a reasonable thing to admit. We aren't on the same Earth. This is a completely different world.

Coby, is it. [notes the shaking. Well that's to be expected. He did remember something about this one being flighty]

So it's true... [It's as much as he expected. But to have it be confirmed is somewhat unsettling. Still at least it wasn't a world entirely different, or didn't seem so from the looks of it. Island. Sea. The overbearing ghost was a bit much but philosophically speaking, Roger's ghost and influence was still strong as ever]

[Coby's eyes were taken from Kuzan to the center square as a number of the villagers began to rapidly leave the fountain square, finally noticing the two similarly dressed men were speaking to one another. From what they knew, that kind of loose association among pirates was even more trouble than the norm.

Frowning inwardly, Coby looked back to his own mantle.]

How many, sir?

[he notices, but only in an offhand sort of way]

From our world.

[and it was entirely too strange to be calling it that]

Oh. [It was still weird to think of it that way. The sea looked the same. Islands looked the same. They were only new places with different names. Somehow, it felt like he was at home even if he wasn't.]

I can't say for certain, but a number of the Whitebeard Commanders and Strawhat Pirates are present. There's Ace D. Portgas, Luffy D. Monkey, Marco the Phoenix, Roronoa Zoro, Black Leg Sanji, Nico Robin, Fourth Division Whitebeards' Commander Thatch, Eighth Division Whitbeards' Commander Namur and former pirate, 'Red Leg Zeff'. [There were a bunch he didn't mention because either they weren't quite pirates or he didn't really know who the hell they were... Sorry Keimi, Brook and Bepo...]

[... there are some things on that list that puzzle him. Two to be exact. Though it is quite possible that the Fourth Division Commander had somehow only been rumored to have been killed-- though that was an incredible piece of subterfuge if it was true, there is one among that list whom he knows is dead.

Or is at least more than ninety-nine percent sure]

Ace D. Portgas...? [he wants to ask Coby if he's certain, but of course the boy would be. So he'll just settle for giving him a quizzical look and hoping he can catch it and fill in the details.]

Yes, sir. I was surprised, but I've since heard his voice on this notebook numerous times, his identity confirmed just as many times. He's the current captain of the Spade Pirate Crew which has gained some notable infamy, here.

[At the very least, he's heard of a dozen different crews and only a handful were mentioned with real contempt. The Spades had been one such crew.]
