[Logan raised a brow at that. He'd smelled the other one coming, so he wasn't surprised by his presence. And this is the 4th time today that he's chilled with a bear. Different ones no less.]

They are just the elder trees of the forest. These ones.... They have seen so much and have so many stories to tell. These trees here.... They are the ones that raised me ever since that day happened. We are close to the place where I want you to see.

He's just...okay, so maybe he is trying to put some space between him and the others, kind of, if only for a few hours at a time. It's just been awhile since he's had any real time to himself and he could kind of use it right now, after the past couple of weeks have been so emotionally draining.
And this island is nothing if not super peaceful, so maybe he'll actually be able to relax and camp out under the stars for a night.
