For once since joining the crew, he actually liked the island they stopped at. Why are they staying only a few days, when they stayed as that club type island for almost two weeks? It irked him, a lot, but right now wasn't the time to be concerned about it.
He looked to Selphie and nodded at her idea with a small smile. "I think we should." He offered a hand to her to take to start their stroll.

Eh? Really? [Aya looks surprised at that and looks again at the landscape.] Why nearly?
[Aya was turned another way, so when he turns in Ace's direction, and sees him standing there, staring, a chill runs all over his body.]
[That's so damn creepy.]
What...are you doing?

[He switches back to human for a bit and ruffles her head.]
My Pops would tell me, it's whatever I want it to be.
But Thatch and Ace aren't birds like me, Namur understands some things, but there are many about him I don't get, and together it's all a mess, eh?
I shouldn't focus on the differences so much as what's important: what we share no matter what, but I suppose this place is getting to me.
[NOT NORMAL AT ALL!]

Perhaps it was because she knew they were only staying a few days that Selphie was so keen to see so much of the place as she could. She glanced at Aya, and his hand, and when she took it she smiled brightly in her excitement as she started to lead them along a path that looked particularly pretty, "Let's go this way!"
Aya nodded and started to walk with her. Even if it was late at night, he, too, felt that sleep could be done later, especially with such a short time on the island.
"Did you find anything interesting so far?"
"Did you find anything interesting so far?"
"I found lots of animals! Like, seriously loads! It's so weird, being on a boat, you forget how much you miss stuff like trees and grass and all the little creatures. I was singing with the birds and they sat right on my shoulder. It was so cute!"
She was talking rather animatedly, clearly very excited to talk about what she'd seen, her hand holding his tighter, while the other waved around a bit. "How about you?"

"Singing with animals..." That sounded very much like a children's movie. Although Aya was a little surprised by hearing such a thing, he was definitely glad that she was enjoying herself. "I didn't since with animals, but a few came up to me. They're pretty friendly here."
One would think they wouldn't be, since he thought not many people came to the island.

Isn't that normal? At least it's not snowing like that one time.
[Sorry bro.]
So what are those nests for?
[Is it just her, or does she hear chirping?]
Marco...?

It's not normal at all! I always avoid spring islands even in fall! They're worse in spring. Then it's double the spring and --
"Well, sure! And I told stories to the rabbits and the deer, and some squirrels..." She turned and smiled at Aya then she suddenly stopped, an idea popping into her head. Selphie glanced around the forest, then leaned in close to Aya's ear to whisper to him.
"I bet if we're quiet...foxes and badgers and owls might come out to play!" It was night, after all.

[Yes...]
[Yes, there's a lot of chirping.]
[He's just...]
[Going to quietly pet a baby chick's head, shhhhh.] I was helping the parents.
[He hates himself just a little.]

Selphie laughed softly at that. She wouldn't say so right now in front of Leanne, but she knows that asking her to completely drop the 'lady' part wouldn't last for long.
"You're welcome, Leanne!" Selphie swam backwards for a moment, ducking under the water before bouncing back up and splashing a small wave towards Leanne and Chandra.
"Hey, at least Chandra is a girl again. I don't think we'd let her walk around like that if she wasn't!" She smiled at them both, apparently quite amused with the whole situation.

[It takes her a bit before she can actually make out what he's saying.]
The surface world wasn't exactly made for people like us. Is it really that bad?

Hmm? Oh, I was just wondering. Food from the surface world is still pretty new to me. [Not that many fruits to be found underwater.]
And I didn't know if you could eat this kind of berry right off the bush. [She look at Kairi.]
Can you?

*Selphie kneels down to watch the ducklings taking a bath, covering her mouth with her hand to muted her giggles, looking to Marco with an expression that suggests that she is completely overwhelmed by the cute*
I wasn't planning to.
Are you hungry, Ace? I can probably trap them for you.
[And thus, Nami proved that she fit right in with the Spades.]

[Oh, it seemed like she had some company. Having surfaced, Nami waved back at Asami and swam over to her.]
I've already been here for a bit. [Actually? It had been longer than she thought. She hadn't realized that she had lost track of the time by how much she was enjoying herself.]
The water feels pretty good, don't you think?

Uh, okay.
[Nami gives her a push. Just a lone push, and it wasn't even all that strong.]
What was that for?
[Nami gives her a push. Just a lone push, and it wasn't even all that strong.]
What was that for?
Nami was really just minding her own business when she spotted that large bird heading downward. A weird enough sight on its own, but it was noticing Ace's figure on the creature that really caught her attention. She headed on over to him, wondering what the heck that was all about.
"Ace! What were you doing just now?"
"Ace! What were you doing just now?"
Seeing you act that way reminds me of my first couple of days on the surface world.
[At least it's not that bad for her now. Sort of.]
What's wrong?
[At least it's not that bad for her now. Sort of.]
What's wrong?
[Namur dunks easily enough. He just bobs right back up, eyes barely above the water so he can breathe through his gills. His words are a little garbled since he's talking underwater but he's close enough it shouldn't be a problem.]
Jus' the usual shit. Could go lookin' t' see if there's any ships or somethin'. Doubt it though. Place is all goodness an' whatever. Bet the island itself'd cry if a ship ever sunk.
