[He ducks half into the tent again, reemerging with a blanket in hand which he spreads on the ground.]

Here, sit down. You're probably tired. I mean, if it's tiring moving through all the trees and plants... I didn't even know mermaids could do that.

The surface world doesn't seem to know much about my kind to begin with. [Which makes sense, considering they usually keep to themselves.]

But it's easy enough, even without legs.

We don't have mermaids in my world. I mean, there's a world that does have them, Sora's been there, but as far as I know they stay underwater.

[Snorts a little.]

His legs turned into a fishtail while he was there.

Really? [If you asked her, Nami would've most likely said it was an improvement.]

Is that something that happens to all humans who aren't from that world?

...Actually, I'm not sure.

[Thinks.]

He was traveling with, uh. A duck who could use magic. I think he said the duck turned into an octopus or something... And their dog friend became a turtle? But I don't know if Donald did that so they wouldn't drown, or if it was the magic of the world.

[Says all of this with a straight face. 8|]

Whatever the reason, that's a neat shape-shifting feat. They must have been able to handle the oceans of your world with ease in those forms.

[She briefly lifts her tail a few inches off the ground.]

There's really no better way to swim than with one of these.
