[Well that's certainly a lot of questions, some of which had him blinking in surprise. He does his a best to keep up- of course, he does have experience with this sort of thing, having had worked in the temple for years...
Well, he might as well be upfront with the one in charge, rather than deal with them finding out later on.]
[His tone is very to-the-point.]
I've never been on a ship, before...although, I do know how to swim. I actually don't know the full extent of my own abilities. I was turned into something known as a Jinrou literally right before waking up, here. I do know that my strength is amplified, since I was able to carry Toshio back without any trouble. Speaking of, I am from the same world and him and Yuuki-kun.
[Pause.]
I'm going to assume, since you already have a Jinrou on the crew, you've been made aware of the general abilities- as well as the thirst for blood. Since I will be able to survive off of food, I have no plans of biting anyone else on the crew. [His eyes shift to the side.] Before biting Toshio I was given permission, yes, but I certainly will not let myself slip up, again. I do understand that the health of the crew is valuable to our survival.
[another one of those, eh? They were going to have a vampire division at this rate, but that was fine. He seemed an intelligent man and Thatch trusted his friends from his town to keep him in line. Though he opened a log book and jotted another mark in a column before shutting it]
Aye, that's fine then. Biting is fine so long as they agree but you're not allowed to ask Ace otherwise known as the captain because he would give too much as he is a moron. Enemies you can drain dry as often as you please, specifically those belonging to the Navy.
Now...
[he steepled his fingers and looked at the man over them]
What do you think you can do aboard this ship. We're pirates and free but everyone has to pitch in somehow.
[Even with the permission, Seishin is determined not to bite anyone on this crew- it's kind of just...how he is. Sure, he's gained a bit more of a ruthless nature, as of late. That doesn't mean, however, that the ruthlessness will be towards comrades. Only enemies.
Since he doesn't plan on touching any members of the crew, he has no issue nodding at the rule on not touching Ace. And, the part about the navy and other enemies is something he stores within the back of his mind.]
Well, back home I'm a novelist. I'm not sure how much good that would do a crew...
[Considering his recent developments, there's no point in mentioning his having been the assistant head priest of a temple...
Also, he knows nothing about the jobs that are held within a ship. That might be more than clear with the uncertainty in his tone.]
I suppose I also do well with gathering information... [More like really good.]
Aye. I can use that. I have Lea working on some of that, he works in the galley as well so you'll probably have a chat with him from time to time. Any information you could compile would be a great help but I'll think on it.
[another few scribbles and he checks in another book before standing.]
You'll be berthing on the Moon. I'll show you the available spaces. Most people are on the island right now but if you talk to Namur or Riku, they should be able to help you in learning some shipboard duties. All hands have to know the basics, aye?
He has no idea what that word means, but he assumes it means he's going to be living there. Standing as well, he tucks both of his journals under his arm.]
Yes, sir. I'll be happy to learn anything that may be of use. [He's kind of used to working hard, anyway. It'll be helpful in keeping him from thinking too much. After a short pause--] Lea, Namur, and Riku. I'll be sure to keep those names in mind.
[he picks up a smaller ledger and leads the way out, ducking through the door. He's not sure how this man will fit in, though he never is. At least he seems to know how to find a place and fit in it. Really, only time will tell.]
no subject
