[Roxas huffs softly. Finally he gets up onto his feet, ruffling the sand out of his hair.]

Fine, the next game we need rules!

[Lea takes a few steps back to distance himself from Roxas just in case.]

There are tons of games. What kind do you mean?

[He was the sort of kid in school who got wrapped up in just about all of them. Also the kind who made up new ones with vaguely described convoluted rules designed so that he could win all the time. Probably not what Roxas is looking for.]

Only thing is, I thought when we went there would be ice cream involved.

Well I guess not! Maybe we can get the other chef to make us ice cream! He says he can make anything.

[Lea has been avoiding Zeff and the inevitable head trauma/cooking lessons as a matter of pride.]

When we had ice cream every day, of course. That's all we did Lea.

[He smiles a little though, teasing him.]

Was that your trick to get me to be your friend? Stuff me full of ice cream?

[Lea smiles fondly at him. So maybe it was a bit of a trick, but it was worth it.]

So did you have any more plans or are we just gonna stand around all afternoon?

[There's no bite to the insult though, Roxas is still being playful.]

You're the beach expert, you're supposed to show me what to do. I already dunked you in the water, that was pretty good....

[Lea crosses his arms and fakes a scowl.]

Jerk. Go find something to do on your own if that's your idea of fun.

[Roxas protests, wide-eyed. Why was Lea mad about it? He wasn't sorry, so he wouldn't say so but he exhales.]

[Roxas needs to stop trying to learn how to speak Bird and start learning how to speak Lea.]
