[He's not alone in that. The sun is a constant, steady source of proper mana, given it's heat, and she soaks it up. And normally she probably wouldn't bother Ace while he was napping, but...he's starting to snore. And that's making it hard for her to sleep too, so she rolls over onto her belly and pokes him.]
[Ace slowly stirred, not quite awake, yet. He rolled over onto his side and swung one arm, knocking a number of barrels loose of their ropes and into the hatches.
It could have gone worse.
And, it did. One barrel fell directly on Ace's throat, soliciting an angry choking noise from him as he woke up.]
[Ace reached over to try and poke Chandra's cheek. He missed and poked a hole in the deck.] Put somethin' over your ears, then. [Sleepily, he continued to try and poke her, but his eyes were getting hazy again--]
[Bloodshot eyes met Chandra and he reached up to lift one of the barrels over himself.]
Your captain snores. That's just somethin' you gotta deal with. [He set the barrel aside, trying to crawl over to the ropes. Sure, he could walk, but it was the principle of staying on the floor.]

My captain is also apparently a slug. [Turning to look at him, she continues:]
Sun makes you lethargic too?
no subject
[He bitterly pulled the barrel into place and then slumped over, done.]
Sleepin' people aren't supposed to stand.
