[he reaches across with his fucked-up arm and grabs a hold of Sanji's tie] You're not listening, cook. They tried to eat him. They're cannibals! Where are the others, they might be in trouble...

[Bepo's been helping keep track of the ship. Hanging around, gathering supplies, keeping an eye on things, and generally sticking around to defend things if he needed to.]

[He's been on shore, shelling some nuts he'd found a while back, tossing the shells into the water on the beach. His sandy butt in a black jump suit could be seen the closer they got. His feet wet, back towards the smaller row boat, waiting, a bit bored.]

[His ear twitched when he heard Sanji's call. Most swiftly he moved to stand, grabbing his outing pack and throwing it over his shoulder as he moved. His boots could stay in the sand. Sanji sounded off like it was an emergency. Or something dumb...]

[His nose twitched next, catching the smell of blood on the air. Brows darkened over his eyes he sniffed again, moving forward. Following the smell towards them.]

[looks over to where Bepo is coming toward them. He can take care of Zoro and Zoro can take care of the crew by asking Sanji so Luffy is just going to take a little nap til he feels better]

[Looks wildly back at Zoro, because what he just said makes no sense.]

Cannibals? Are you shitting me?!

[That's just insulting on so many levels. He can't help making a disgusted face.

As for the others...

He glances in the direction of the ship again, relieved to see Bepo quickly headed their way.]

Robin-chan and them are still out with the map. Most everyone else ain't far from the ship.

[He waves Bepo over.]

[Oh good, Bepo. Yes, he would like this spear out of his shoulder now. Zoro is starting to lose it, too, he sort of slides off Sanji's shoulder and drops to his knees in the sand]

Not kidding. You're gonna have to...take care of them. Make sure the villagers don't come for you.

[Because look at him, Sanji. What can put him in this kind of state?]

[The closer he got the more the blood smell got stronger. The more his eyes narrowed. What the heck?! Luffy was sleeping? (or was he dead, oh no, was he too late?) and Zoro just dropped to the sand by time Bepo came up on them.]

What happened to you guys! [urgent sounding as he came in closer, looking the two over.]

[He looked at Sanji with worried eyes. Luffy is breathing. Not dead. Zoro? Geeze man. Bepo is already trying to catalog all the wounds mentally.] This looks bad...

[He is looking at him, and he's seriously hoping the amount of damage Zoro's taken is mostly due to the face that he was drugged.

Sanji goes down with him, keeping a firm arm around his waist to hold him up.]

They'll be fine, don't worry. I'll keep an eye out. Any shitty villagers come sniffing around, I'll kick their asses.

[Then Bepo's there, and Sanji lets out a breath before quickly telling him what he knows.]

They ate some drugged food and got beat up because they're morons. Luffy's sleeping it off, his wounds can probably wait till you get this idiot patched up.

[Tips his head toward Zoro.]

Tell me what to do.

[he's trying not to completely pass out, here, but that moment is probably not far off]

Get this damn thing out of my shoulder.

[He already has Sanji's promise to take charge, to protect the others, he doesn't need anything else. Besides medical care and a long nap, that is.]

And then give the other idiot a bath. I don't know why he's sticky and I don't want to know.

[He dropped to his knees before the two swiftly, dropping his pack between him and Sanji. Paws already digging into it.]

Of course they ate drugged food. Idiots. I knew I should have gone with them! [he said while he pulled out a few flats and rolls of bandages.]

If it's poison, he needs to stop moving around and working it through his system. It'll just make him weaker as he---it's already too late for that, isn't it? [Idiot. How many times can he call you guys an Idiot?]

Stop the bleeding. We need to stop the bleeding and---you have a spear head in your shoulder! I can't just yank it out! You could bleed out faster!

[He let out a small growl at that, leaning in to try and take a look at it. To see if it goes through or just lodged there. Then shakes his head, pushing Sanji a roll of gauze.]

Help me stop the bleeding long enough to get him rowed out to the ship. I didn't bring more then a few things with me! Careful with the burns.

[and he moved in to try and check for deeper wounds, to cover and hold those down. He intends to do this fast. Suck it up, swordsmen. It's gonna hurt.]

I'm sure I can stop the poison once I'm on ship.

[stirs a little from the worry in Bepo's voice but it still mostly asleep.]

Calm down. Zoro'll be okay...

[tries to rub his eye but his fist gets caught to the sticky place on his forehead. Oh well. Back to sleep again]

I don't know if it's actually poison. [Or he doesn't want it to be poison, at least...] Whatever it was knocked them out so...so they could be killed and eaten.

[Ugh.

He takes the gauze, quickly going to work on some of Zoro's wounds.]

But they're awake now, which means it ain't as strong as it was. It's fading. And if it was poison, the shitty cannibals wouldn't be able to...do their thing. Right?

[Maybe? Like he really has any fucking clue. It's possible whatever they doused them with is just something the people here are immune to. Sanji's still hoping for a drug that's effects are slowly wearing off.

He spares Luffy a glance, not really wanting to know what that stickiness is either.]

...Brook can handle the bath.

[He doesn't care if it hurts, he can take it. Zoro lets the two of them work in peace, he's just going to take a little nap now. His head wilts onto Sanji's shoulder and then he's gone, so yank on those bandages all you want, he won't feel it.]

[he heard Luffy, and he wanted to point a claw at him and mouth off at his words. OF COURSE he's going to be alright. They both were. BEPO would see to it for forever be shamed. He really wished Captain Law was here though.]

[When Zoro sagged into Sanji, he hissed, carefully wrapping over the shoulder wound before shaking his head. He hadn't brought enough for them.]

I don't know. If it's fading out of their system, that will make things easier, but I still want to be careful. Do you think you can carry him or Luffy?

[Nods, looking down at Zoro for a moment, then over to Luffy, before back to Bepo.]

Yeah, either one. Or both if you want to go ahead and get your shit ready. What's easiest?

[with both of them out, he frowns deeply, then nods to Luffy]

I'll take that idiot. If you can get Zoro, lets get them back to the row boat. We can shove off to the ship and get them some proper care.

[he moved to grab his pack, shoving it over arms again, and then towards Luffy]

Let's be fast. I don't like how much blood I smell.

[Nods again, then jostles Zoro a bit.]

Oi. Dumbass shitty green marimo swordsman. Come on, we're going back to the ship.

[He forces Zoro to sit up a bit then shifts in front of him, pulling Zoro's arms over his shoulders and trying to at least be a little mindful of his shoulder. His hands find the back of Zoro's knees and then he grunts and pushes himself to his feet, leaning forward slightly so Zoro doesn't slide off as he hefts him into a piggyback position.]

[He lets Sanji get Zoro up and moving, or more... moving him via piggy back. Mean while Bepo moved to take up Luffy, trying to be careful but also fast. the sooner they are back at the boat the better.]

[He didn't have anything else to say to Sanji. They both knew how important this was to get them back and looked after. So he just lead the way and helped get them to the medical room on the ship.]

[Once there they're going to have to do some spear head removal. :| Sanji, are you ready to be a nurse today?]

Sanji drops Zoro onto the table as soon as they're in the medical room -- bastard is heavier than he looks. Then he glances up at Bepo, waiting for instructions.]

[good, because as much confidence as he might show in his work, he really isn't that confident. Still, just being here for a few months and feeling he had to keep the health of these people up, he's learned a lot more then he knew before coming here.]

[Like which plants to mix, which to use and how.]

[Bepo put Luffy on the second bed, leaving him there for now, turning to see Sanji putting a knocked out Zoro down. His heart felt rattled, but he had to buckle down and do this right.]

Please. I'll need help in order to do this fast. If you can heat some water and clean him up a bit? I've got some things to mix. Then we'll remove that spear head.

[He didn't wait for a reply. He's sure Sanji will help him with out trouble. He instead moved to a wooden cabinet and started to pull out things he needed. He wanted to mix two different things, and he had to do it fast]

[Welcome to Bepo's kitchen]

[Looks back down to Zoro, then nods.]

On it.

[He disappears back through to the galley, and when he returns a few minutes later he's got a a pitcher full of warm water, an empty bowl, and a stack of towels. He's quick to get to work, only grimacing at Zoro for a moment in a disapproving 'how the hell did you manage to get yourself fucked up this badly, you idiot' kind of way.]

[he gave a nod, letting Sanji go and do as asked. He's glad it's Sanji here to help him, as out of all of them so far he feels Sanji is the most capable. He's grown to hold a good respect for the cook now too. Go figure.]

[While he was gone, Bepo got to work, washing his paws very well, pulling out clean white operational gloves, and skipping the rest of the gear to move faster. Checking a book he had slapped open fast and pulling things from here and there he worked. Pestle and mortar ground a few things together. A splash of this, a small growl when he thinks there is too much of one thing or not enough of another.]

[When he's done, Sanji has had time to clean Zoro up enough for this. He brought the small dish with him and a piece of thick leather. Sitting his tools to the side of the table, he tried not to think about what if he messed this up. Why wasn't Captain here. He could do this with no trouble, instantly, sew it up and be done. Bepo can't do this. He stares at Zoro a moment, worried he'll mess it up.]

[With a blink, he snaps out of it, looking to Sanji and holds him the strip of leather.] I know he's knocked out, but try to fit this between his teeth. Just in case. [He's seen a guy break his teeth while passed out.]

[Hovering over the wound, he slathers it with a greenish purple paste, frowning at it. His paws are a little shaky as he mumbles to... perhaps Zoro, but most likely Sanji]

I... don't know if I can do this...

[JUST SO MUCH FROWNING as he wipes at the various cuts and wounds. The bowl is quickly filled with reddened towels as he cleans away as much blood as he can. When Bepo hands him the strip of leather, he makes sure his hands are clean before taking it and leaning over Zoro to pry his mouth open and fit it inside. He's not as gentle as he could be, but the dumbass can handle it.

Once it's in place, he looks back to Bepo for more instructions.

...Only to find him hesitating and looking uncertain of things, before he mumbles something that Sanji just barely catches.]

You do know.

[He injects as much certainty into his voice as he can.]

It's just a shitty spearhead, it ain't gonna be a problem for you. Look -- Bepo.

[Sanji jabs a finger toward Zoro's chest, pointing out the long scar that cuts across him diagonally there.]

This idiot's nearly been cut in half before, and I don't know what the hell happened there.

[Follows that up with an annoyed gesture at his eye.]

So this little thing? It's fucking nothing. And you're good at what you do. You'll be fine, and so will he. Shit, he'll probably snore straight through it because he's a moron.

[He's not looking at Sanji, but he's taking in what is said. He's carefully using a finger to spread this stuff around the arrow head, knowing it will numb the area but also slow bleeding once it is pulled out. He's figured that much out from reading.]

[The thoughts that he just helps those on his crew and he's not really good at this kinda thing hits him again. Stupid Straw Hats. He's a Navigator, not a Doctor.]

[But Zoro is precious to Luffy. So is everyone on his damn crew. He knows they are tough. All of them can manage on their own. He's not really needed here other then to make things a bit simpler.]

[But... he can't be useful to this crew if he can't fix the small wounds. And if these idiots keep eating poisoned food, so help him--]

Right. [his hands steady, glancing over at Sanji for a moment in a silent thanks. A sharp nod and he moved to work.] This...

[He paused, then got that concentrating look on his face. Sorry Sanji, he just needed that vote of confidence. Thank you.] This mixture will slow the bleeding once I pull it. We can pack it and let it sit for a little bit. If it's a poisoned spear, it'll pull that out. I think.

Nothing he hasn't dealt with before. You're right.

[mentally he goes through the process one step ahead of what he was physically doing. Large paws move to pull the spear head, and as soon as he does it wells up with blood. A large pad of gauze soaked in this purple green stuff is then placed over it, soaking up blood like it should.]

[His other hand holds out the spear to Sanji to take.]

[Nods once just to show he's got Bepo's back here, then watches as he does his thing and gets the spearhead out. He takes it when Bepo hands it over, making a face as he stares down at it.]

Geez. That idiot. Should we wrap it?

[He's reaching for a roll of gauze even as he asks.]

[Now that he’s actually doing it, he’s just... doing it. His paws held the gause there a moment, putting light pressure.]

Not yet. This will numb it, slow the bleeding and help it heal. [he pulled the gauze back and looked at it, then started to work.] He needs it cleaned, and stitches. Then we can wrap it. Please check to see if he has any other deep wounds. If they aren’t too bad, we can just bandage those after they are cleaned.

[honestly, having Sanji here helped get him into the right frame of mind now. He took up a syringe of clean water and shot it through the wound, cleaning it out, and shortly after, when clear that he felt it was clear of objects, he started to stitch it together, tongue between his teeth and concentrating.]

[He wasn’t even shaking as he did it, very steady and careful.]

Why are they so stupid... [asked very softly, honestly concerned about these idiots]
