I've been doing it alone for nearly two decades now. I honestly didn't think this trip would make much of a difference.

Haven't we seen enough in this world to know you don't go anywhere alone? At least not outside of towns, and half the time inside towns, too.

[But she does feel a pang of guilt when he mentions the crew worrying about her. She was so used to doing things on her own. It tends to slip her mind that she could depend on these guys.]

Yeah...Gaius did a pretty good job patching it up. Though it could have been better if it was sewn shut. But I guess that's not something that could be easily done on a ship.

[She sighs, this wasn't an easy conversation for her.]

Well it took a while before we actually got the blade out. It was buried to the hilt. But I'm pretty sure it didn't...hit any major organ. Just hope it wasn't lined with some crazy tribal poison.

I don't mind studying up on medicine if it'll benefit the crew. At least it's something I could do for you guys.

I won't stop ya if you wanna, but I don't mind finding someone to add to the crew. I mean, even I know basic battlefield aid but that ain't gonna help us if someone gets sick or loses a leg or somethin'.

Actually, I've already asked Gaius to help me out with this. But then I realized that I was on a boat with the most skilled fighters ever. So maybe learning more styles would do me some good, and who better to ask than our almighty captain right?

I was hoping you could...maybe...teach me how to use a weapon?

What kinda weapon do you want to learn?

[his scimitar is slung behind his hips, as usual, but he does actually know more than one]

There's the sword, the spear, uh...chain whip, archery...

[that makes him look up at her instead of his fingers]

Yeah, yeah...I could teach you to shoot. That'd be pretty handy, and we could use more ranged fighters.

[Yeeeeah, she's thought about picking up a lot of weapons while she was here. But archery never actually crossed her mind before.]

Well...it'll definitely be an experience.

I might not look it, but I'm pretty good with a bow. I mean, I'm no Bow-Waisted Princess with it, but...

[he's aware that makes no sense, and also he just called himself a princess. Uh. Moving on.]

It'll have to wait till you're healed up, though. Drawing a bow takes a lot of shoulder and back strength.

But of course I'll wait to heal up first. I know for a fact that Leo or Gaius would strap me down to this bed if I even tried to over exert myself.

Make sure you get some fresh air and exercise, too. Layin' around all the time, you don't wanna waste away.
