[The main deck wasn't completely cleared, but he could move in the required circle around the main mast.
Wan headed down to the deck at a trot, hopping down the steps two at a time. He waited until Hiccup caught up to start. The first of the form was, of course, the bow. Then he flowed into the steps, each thrust of his hands outward creating a small fire as he struck precise, decisive blows into the air. It was clearly meant for fighting, but at the same time, it was almost like a dance. The steps ended where it began, but with a flourish that created a wreath of fire around Wan's body, going from his left shoulder to his right hip before dissipating as he bowed once more.]
That's the Dragon's Dance.

What he gets to see is nothing to sneeze at.
While he's seen fire shot out by dragons, seeing a human do this creatively makes him gape. The artful stances alone are enough to make him wonder about the practices Wan goes through for all of this.
Once he's finished, Hiccup just continues to stare for a bit. His mouth does close eventually, leading him to blink several times.]
...Wow.

[He's heard of this before. It finally clicks once he remembers.]
Hey – I think I know who you're talking about. One of them, at least. Asami? She sort of explained it to me, but now that I've seen it...

Is fire the easiest? And can anyone use all four?

Even if you're still working on it, they're still useful. I can believe you've worked that hard.

[Wan shrugged, not wanting to go into it further than that.]
What about you?
[His eyes went to the missing leg.]
You must have worked pretty hard yourself.

But in regards to his own leg, that's something he can talk about just fine.]
This? This is still pretty new, I guess. I feel lopsided at times, but I've gotten use to it.

When my dad found out, they used Toothless to take them over there. I had to round up everyone else for an impromptu flying lesson. Which sort of worked, amazingly!
We were able to get in the middle of the battle before anyone got badly injured. Most of the ships were out of commission. Toothless and I went to handle the hard part. Leading the dragon up and away from everyone else was easy enough, and we had to time the attack to make sure it would all work out...
[He shrugs, giving a slight sigh as he shakes his head.]
...It did, but. There was the issue of trying to steer with a burning tailfin. The last thing I remember was colliding with the other dragon's huge, club-like tail.
The next time I woke up, I found Toothless inside of my house and I was missing a foot.

You two have been through a lot together. From the looks of it, you'll be through a lot more.
[Friends that loyal and close were once in a lifetime.]
Thank you for telling me.

You're welcome.
And...thanks. For saying that and telling me parts of your story, too.
