INTRO LOG: MAY 2014
Have an intro log for the month of May!
Who: Any and all new characters, as well as anyone hanging out on or around Isla Empieza!
Where: Near the fountain in the town center.
When: New characters will arrive around May 10th! The log is good for as long as you need it.
What: You've just been dropped on your head in a weird new world. Time to figure out what the heck is going on!
Status: VERY OPEN.
It's a brilliant May day, with blue skies and a soft breeze as you wake up. Everything about the otherwise grubby pirate port you are in speaks of spring. There are flowers surrounding the fountain, draping in colorful garlands over railings and balconies and tucked into all corners. There is a certain cheerfulness to it all and those in Empieza seem friendly and welcoming (to those who've been there before, they are far more pleasant than usual).
Feel free to throw your characters here if you need a place for them to get situated and start figuring things out! Start new threads, tag into others, meet the people who might just become part of your crew! Older characters will be in and out, too, depending who is on the island at the current time.
HAVE FUN! And welcome to High Seas!

"Which might be a bit more to what they mean here. Someone disliked in common society. Someone they don't like." Which explains why they moved away from her earlier, even when she wasn't walking with a tiger.

"I guess that I'd be a pirate, then. I was banished from the city I was born in almost four years ago."

Anyhow. Banished from the city he was born in was pretty bad. She didn't even know where she was born. "You like freedom?" She dropped from her feet to sit on the edge now, arms crossing and watching him careful. "That's what pirates are. Free. All one thousand six hundred of my brothers and sisters are free. Nothing could be better then that. Just depends on who you sail with, but pirate isn't as bad as these people act like it is."

Wan sighed and shook his head and smiled ruefully, "It's about the same as it's been for the last four years, I guess. But I'm glad to know that you're not alone in that. Having a family you can go to sounds great. My family is all gone."

When he said his family was gone, her smile faded, just a bit more. "My original family is gone, too." And that was all she would ever say on that. She was losing parts of her long term family though, and that was hard. She'd just been brought here after the funeral of two of them. "This is a new place, right? Set a new course. Make a new family."

Wan gave another shrug and turned to lean his back on the crates, watching the natives, "I'm not sure I want a new family. But new friends... I think that'll be a good enough goal. Are any of your family here? Or are you alone, too?"
