INTRO LOG: MAY 2014

WELCOME NEW CHARACTERS!
Have an intro log for the month of May!

Who: Any and all new characters, as well as anyone hanging out on or around Isla Empieza!
Where: Near the fountain in the town center.
When: New characters will arrive around May 10th! The log is good for as long as you need it.
What: You've just been dropped on your head in a weird new world. Time to figure out what the heck is going on!
Status: VERY OPEN.

It's a brilliant May day, with blue skies and a soft breeze as you wake up. Everything about the otherwise grubby pirate port you are in speaks of spring. There are flowers surrounding the fountain, draping in colorful garlands over railings and balconies and tucked into all corners. There is a certain cheerfulness to it all and those in Empieza seem friendly and welcoming (to those who've been there before, they are far more pleasant than usual).

Feel free to throw your characters here if you need a place for them to get situated and start figuring things out! Start new threads, tag into others, meet the people who might just become part of your crew! Older characters will be in and out, too, depending who is on the island at the current time.

After such an obtuse display to gain attention, just a few simple words from the other man had Anji's in full. "Excuse me, sir, but did you say you were... Japanese?"

     "Aa, I implied as much. There's a few from Japan or some version of it so far as I've found."

     The young warlord stepped forward, grinning. "Name's Date Masamune, lord of Ōshū. ...not that I guess titles matter for much around here."

That name... Anji's reaction was instant. He seemed to suddenly sweat from his brow, his hands twitched, and any previous illusion of togetherness was completely gone as the information settled in.

"D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-Date Masamuneeeeeeh?!" he cried out, trembling.

     Well, that reaction by far topped all the others he'd gotten around here. His grin widened. "Didn't stutter, did I? Guess you've heard of me?"

"Heard of you? You are a legend! A great hero of the Sengoku era! An honored part of my heritage!" Anji couldn't contain his glee. He was acting like a total fan boy.

... Pun not intended.

     Even if it was always a little weird hearing about himself in the context of past-tense, it was nevertheless always pleasing to hear that he was even then, still renowned. Anji's excitement only made it better.

     "Good knowing I got a trend goin' somewhere. Guess that's one thing I don't mind about this place."
