The best of times, the worst of times
Who: Anyone on the Triton's Mistress!
Where: Triton's Mistress
When: Backdated to June 10th through the 15th,16th?
What: A combination log to include the following subjects:
Welcoming a new crew member!!!
A Casual Dinner Conversation
The Tragedy of Eternal Bliss
The copycat destruction of Deesuko Ballia
And whatever else comes up~!
Warnings: Shouldn't be too bad towards the beginning. Language might become an issue in places XD. Pg-13!
When everyone had returned to their own ages, it had been expected by some that things would return to some semblance of normalcy. Unfortunately, there had been a slight hiccup in that plan but by roughly the 7th or 8th that too was put right. The stop at Himmelin had also afforded the crew an opportunity to break into a new line of trading that should fill their pockets with dubloons given enough time and the right connections.
With this stroke of good fortune.. surely more was to come........
[Feel free to make your own threads under the different sections or make a section of your own if you think of something you'd like to add that doesn't fit any of them. Just let us know what it is in the header and we're good to go!
HAVE FUN!]

"It's a hell of a lot better than that swill they offered me when I first came aboard." Ale mixed with the phoenix fruit of the Corsair kingdom. The fruit had a a dual nature to it both spicy and sweet.. but he tended to find the spice overwhelming.
Ban took an opportunity to get a good look at both Hawke and her unusual canine. The dog looked as if it was built of muscle, with powerful jaws, and a massive body. Not the sort of pup you'd ever want to enrage. Hawke- wasn't half bad. Unfortunately that garb she was sporting was obstructing getting a better glimpse at her form. He didn't let his gaze linger too long, not wanting to make this first meeting an overly awkward one. He couldn't help but wonder what sort of combat Hawke had been exposed to prior to coming here. Was she stuck in that battle against the "Darkspawn" as well? There would be time later for bringing up the heavier subjects.

"You didn't have to keep going after..."
He's interrupted by a loud screech as Mikun took one look at Teo and ran back to the safety of the main cabin. Harlock had the feeling he was going to be used as a human shield a lot.
"Are Mastiffs normally that large on your world?" Frankly Teo looked like he could eat Mikun in one bite.

She walked over to the table at once, giving Haytham a rueful grin as she took the mug he offered. "What gear?" she asked ruefully. "Davy Jones didn't give me time to pack. All I've got is what I'm carrying."
Which was some damned good weapons and armor, a beltpouch with a number of useful items hidden away, and a very large dog. Though he wasn't being carried. Could be worse, but she was going to need to buy some spare clothes sooner rather than later...
Elissa got a broader grin, but her attention was quickly turned to Ban. After all, he had the alcohol. "So it's not swill? I'm almost disappointed. I thought swill was mandatory for pirates. Next you'll tell me no one on board has an eyepatch."
Harlock arrived at that point, accompanied by something that screeched and disappeared so quickly it was gone before Hawke actually caught a glimpse. She tried not to chuckle; it wasn't the first time Teo had gotten that reaction. "Not all of them, no; he's a particular breed." Teo, happily, was behaving himself while he took the measure of everyone and everything, and standing calmly by Hawke's side. Hawke tugged at his ears.

With a grin, the sunkissed Fereldan paused by the newcomers. "Greetings, Hawke, Teo. I'm Elissa. That's Ban," she explained as she pointed to the spiky-haired young man. "He's like the younger brother I never wanted. I mean that I always wanted." Next, she indicated Haytham, gifting him with a wink in the process. "This handsome fellow is Haytham Kenway - sometimes known as 'Smug Bastard' when I am feeling particularly peevish - and this latest addition to our little party? The capable Captain Harlock. Otherwise known as 'Dear H'."

Elissa was caught in a sideways glance as much from speaking to the dog as if it were a person as from bringing up those nicknames of hers, before his mug was retrieved from Ban and given a sip. He had no intention of answering to that.
Ale in hand he leaned back against the rail of the deck coolly watching her gigantic hound terrorize Harlock's poor cat.
"He seems well trained your Teo. I assume he will get along well with the other animals onboard?"
no subject
She took a deep drink from her mug--not bad at all, it had an interesting taste to it, and certainly wasn't what she'd call swill--before answering Haytham's question. "I'm not sure trained is the world," she said ruefully. "Ours is a partnership more than master and trained dog. He's more intelligent than other dogs." Teo, used to hearing this explanation, barked and sat down at Hawke's side, an image of canine smugness. Hawke chuckled. "Much more intelligent. I won't claim he won't tease or chase other animals for fun sometimes, if he's bored, but by and large he'll leave them alone. He certainly won't eat them."
It'd be a valid fear. Teo has very large jaws. He didn't even have to look at Harlock's cat before the poor thing fled. Hawke turned her sheepish grin on Harlock. "So you're the captain? Sorry about the poor first impression there. If he does pester your cat, let me know. Or threaten to throw him overboard."
Teo whined, clearly understanding this threat. Hawke raised an eyebrow at him. "Don't think I wouldn't, mutt. If you're lucky I might fish you out afterwards, but then again maybe not, so watch it."

Ah, a new crew member, that explained it. Should she glance in his direction he'll offer a wave.

Mi-Kun's call got Ban to glance toward the captain's quarters. Another one of the crew had arrived.
"Oi," Ban protested when Elissa started doling out the introductions."I'm not that little.. and you left out my full title. I'm the invincible Midou Ban-sama~!" He joked right along with them he proceeded to comment on some of the nicknames. "I just leave off the smug and shorten it to bastard and there's no way I'd call another man "Dear"".
The fact that the dog was responding to each thing Hawke said did not go unnoted. Who needs a Beastmaster when the creature understands English.
Suck it Shido, you just became more irrelevant than you already are.no subject
She leaned down just a little to wink at the big dog. "Don't worry," she mock-whispered to him. "I'll fish you out of the water."

Teo bounced in place a bit, then stood on his hind legs and placed his paws on Hawke's shoulders. If no one had noticed before, it was very obvious now: big dog. She staggered back a step from the weight, though the resigned look on her face said it wasn't the first time he'd done this trick, far from it. The mabari licked her face, then dropped back down again, a picture of canine smugness.
Hawke wiped dog-drool from her face with a long-suffering expression and held out her mug to Ban. "If I remember to call you 'invincible', will you refill this?" she asked ruefully.
no subject
Harlock can't see Haytham being up for it either. He picked up a mug. Checking to make sure everyone else didn't appear to seeing random frogs. He looked Teo in eye.
"Just don't get any ideas about impersonating a parrot."
